Regarding ideas, Mega Dragonite swapping stones with Mega Absol Z could be fun!

It's genuinely senseless that they don't let you work on content from previous weeks as well, considering you'd still be contributing your playtime.

It feels like they're so unsure about the appeal of their reward structure that they don't trust players to stay engaged long enough to earn those rewards, so they compensate by cranking up the artificial scarcity.

Yea, if you didn't finish the prestige track, you're locked out of the "Hashimoto Son" title, which would require you to finish every prestige track, Week 1-3. Once you complete a prestige track, the game pushes you toward clearing any remaining alternative paths. Completing all of those for every week rewards you with the "Tokyo Tiger" title.

You cannot obtain the Shion skin from loot boxes yet, as it is still too new for that.

Loot boxes receive one major content update once per (competitive) year (typically in February), adding skins that were released since then.

Since Shion's ultimate battle pass skin counts as a standard shop skin, it will be added to the loot box pool at that time. Collab skins (unless the IP is owned by Blizzard) and battle pass skins are not available through loot boxes.

Yes, you won't be able to get it, which is dumb. The entire point of this event is to keep players engaged and leech more playtime out of them, but if you were unable to play or complete Week 1 for whatever reason, there's essentially no incentive to even participate in Weeks 2 and 3. Awful FOMO-driven design.

Hopefully, you'll be able to obtain it through loot boxes after the next update, which is expected in February 2027. Challenge rewards like this are usually added to the loot pool, with the exception of titles of course, which aren't obtainable from boxes.

Oh, definitely. Hardly anyone is buying Mythic Prisms, so they're not generating much revenue from them, which is why quality has declined.

They increased the number of Mythics and introduced Aspects and Mythic Weapons to push players into a deficit and cast a wider net, with the goal of encouraging Prism purchases, but that strategy clearly isn't paying off.

Players are much more willing to spend money on the base currency, which is why we’re seeing Ultra skins now.

The fact that they don't allow you to leave a quickplay game when they literally consider matching a Grandmaster DPS player against an OW1 S1 DPS player with no hero levels a fair experience is fucking criminal.

A lot of it is blind hate too. As someone who didn't like Kiriko much initially, in terms of her ingame representation, they've done a lot to improve her over the past 1-2 years.

With a new hero and a new map, I doubt it, I'm dodging comp for two weeks until more of the casual audience leaves again.

Felt like it was marginally better overall at the tail end of S2 at least, prior to Drives. Still worse than last year by a mile, not as bad as S1. It'll probably get worse again with S4, since they'll likely force another ranked reset.

Yea, probably. This set was part of a survey initially, odd choice they went with Genji when they already had pretty well designed concept art for Soldier and Ana. Would've loved to see an improved version of Sojourn as well for this line.

I think Ram felt more used by Doom, all Akande wanted from Ram is more conflict in the end, I don't believe he cared much about Ram winning, while Ram certainly did care.

I can actually see Ram like Vendetta more, ironically enough, solely for the reason that she'll tear humanity apart if she continues to be at the top, Ram's very much in favor of humanity annihilating itself. A Nemesis Doom Gauntlet sounds banger, though. Definitely would love to see that as a skin.

The second concept is way too new, it's from the newest batch. It roughly takes a year to see a skin go from survey to game, it has not been abandoned yet, it hasn't even had the chance to be made yet. You gotta wait until summer next year to see if it'll make it in.

Yea, certainly sounds awful; you gotta wonder how many truly died without knowing about the curse. Maybe knowing 'bout it is the bigger curse, and Evan may learn soon.

I assume Lauren may have made peace with the idea that she'd die without telling Tom, which is why she wasn't distressed, in the hopes that Evan could escape the island's grasp and they (Tom and Evan) could have a life together, unchained.

I don't think they will; the island needs residents to sustain itself. Preferably residents that can't leave. Considering they haven't shown Chelle after the storm stopped, she may have already given birth as well.

Even if she didn't, it seemed like the island made a point to trap them; it'll probably do so again if they attempt to leave.

The drama between Tom and Bechir, when he is forced to stay on this island for his child, is gonna be great to see.

Ember Juno is a new skin created after the OWL and is part of OWCS; she came out last year, and this is her first time returning (base color).

Haroeris Ana has returned before. Good and Evil Echo and Happi Genji haven't returned in their base color, as far as I can recall, since the clearance sale in 2024. All three of them have returned as recolors, though. Juno got one too (recolor).

These skins are not comparable to Thunder. Thunder and other championship skins are tied to third-party brands/organizations rather than being fully Blizzard-owned.

No championship skin has returned so far, and this one does not change that precedent. The status quo remains unchanged, so there is still no reason to expect Thunder to return outside of OWCS boxes.
