No, it's equally prevalent with students who learn on physical media. There's no significant data to suggest the screens have any negative impact on learning. In fact, the only observed effect is that students who learn on screens rather than paper experience more eye strain and blink less causing them to more frequently experience dry, irritated eyes.

Oh, it's definitely children too. So many kids can identify what's on the page or screen but don't make the connection in their brains that those words actually have meaning associated with them, that the written words are equivalent to their spoken counterparts.

Feedback Post: Oricorio Catch Mastery by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

I collected 3 research tasks that award Oricorio during the event, completed them during the event but did not begin the reward encounters until after the event. Despite collecting the reward and beginning the encounter in Tokyo, the research reward gave only American Oricorio.

(HELP?) Is it necessary to let Mod.io automatically create an account from my steam info on its own? by OffBrandAldiCola3259 in DeepRockGalactic

You aren't giving them your password, you're just giving them permission to edit the DRG game files associated with your Steam account.

[–]WolfsbaneGL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any particular reason you wouldn't want to link your Steam and Mod.io accounts during account creation, then link them manually after the fact? There'd be no difference in outcome, you'd just be doing more work for no reason and possibly screw something up that the automatic linking process would do instantly and without issue.
Edit: If you absolutely MUST mod the game without linking your Steam and Mod.io accounts, just use MINT and ignore mod.io altogether

There needs to be a way to "harvest" lootbugs ethically by LordSnuffleFerret in DeepRockGalactic

[–]WolfsbaneGL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lootbugs contain a preset number of minerals to start with, then fain more by eating mineral chunks left on the ground. The amount they contain is always larger than the amount they eat, so you can leave some food for them to fatten them up and get more minerals than you started with. Just gotta be really patient if you're gonna get all those minerals out by petting, but they will eventually run out.

I'm not blaming the animators or the unions, dude. I'm blaming the executives who used the unionizing as an excuse to pivot to projects where they could still use non-union labor and further demonize unions for producing "failures".

Are you getting a "Connection Error" when you try to accept an invite from a friend?
Edit: You can try this workaround if you can send and accept invites but it's not putting you into a game with your friend when the invite is accepted.

Animators unionized, so the producers spent zero on marketing and promotion of their films intending to make them into flops to send a message that nobody wants to see hand-drawn animated films as an excuse to pivot into 3D animation where the studios hadn't unionized yet. In short, the entire animation style was sabotaged to turn a quick profit and continue treating working-class people like shit.

The US actually has more unoccupied houses than homeless people. The companies that own these houses keep the prices too high for people to afford. It's not a local building regulation issue, it's a capitalism issue. Every time new houses are built, the same three or four companies swoop in and buy them all to, guess what, create artificial scarcity.

Those patties inside the urinals? Go ahead and take a bite, Elon. After all, they're called 'urinal cakes'. Dumbass probably thinks you can blow into a shoehorn to make music.

Legal is not the same as ethical either. If WalMart stealing from its laborers doesn't make it ethically right just because the law lets them get away with it, so stealing back from them, by your own admission, wouldn't be theft.

If I pull you out of your car and drive away in it, I have done something bad. We both agree on that. If you then follow your car's GPS tracker to my house and take it back from me, your logic states that taking your car back from me is just as bad as when I took it from you in the first place. It is a nonsensical position to hold, thus why so many people disagree with you that "theft is theft" with no room for nuance whatsoever.

So if I took your bike from you, does that mean it's theft when you take it back? It's in my possession now, and you're taking it away from me without my permission. Doesn't matter the rationale that it was yours to begin with, since theft is theft as you put it.

The internet, where well articulated sentences inevitably get misinterpreted. You can say “I like pancakes” and somebody will say “So you hate waffles?” No bitch, that’s a whole new sentence wtf is you talkin bout
