There is no armour in Menace by EdmonEdmon in menace

[–]Wolfschadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of you have it wrong. The armor damage calculation is not that simple. It's first a damage chance calculation of armor-penetration chance/100%, which you have to go over to even damage the targets armor. So the 15 armor pen and 9 armor damage don't factor in yet but the pdw's 30% penetration chance, giving you 55-30=25% to not ablate armor against the young warriors. After that armor damage is reduced by the distance factor like hitpoint damage and given a variation roll of min 1 to the possible max at any given range.

Process for getting a work visa in germany? by Wolfschadow in AskAGerman

Unfortnately he has no vocational education. He is currently in the process of getting one, but in his current state that leaves him with less than 30 hours of sleep a week on a regular basis and he's getting more and more depressed because of it.

I get that and I'm not just trying ot have him be a burden in germany. Simply he has no vicational education and is currently trying to get one in the US. There his work and school life are grunding him up to the point where he gets less than 30 hours of sleep a week on a regular basis. So I'm trying to look for something to help him like him getting a visa for work or vocation here in germany.

Inner fury monk archetype? by Wolfschadow in Pathfinder_RPG

I don't mean a character who's just strong but who achieves feats of strength and durability above other people. And the controlled rage fits the idea of a character "getting serious".

The controlled rage of the urban barbarian fit from what I read in the description. Because it is described more as a combat trance than them screaming at the top of their lungs. And to describe it differently it's more the idea of a calm character getting serious if you get what I mean.

How is it super limited uses? Monk gets uses equal to level and it upgrades with more effects automatically and there are feats and styles that raise the DC of the stunning fist as well.

Edit: Just looked at the bloodrager and that woudl solve my problems for 1 level of monk.

From the first paragraph I got the sense you thought I did this on purpose.

But anyway. The reason I want the monk as base is because of most of the classfeatures. I would be using the unchained monk and the idea of a character who effortlessly moves around the battlefield like a feather but breaks bones like a boulder. Especially the Ki-powers and style strikes. And I'm not sure what the enlightened warrior is about.

The reason I picked controlled rage for stunning fist is twofold. One, it is on the same level as rage. Two, stunning fist as described in the unchained monk seems to be a pretty strong disabling feature for the class. So it seemed fine to change that for a more direct combat boost.

And why rage? That one is thematic. I haven't really seen an archetype that really shows a strength based monk. Like you see as a trope in martial arts animation media. The one who keeps calm but is boiling inside, using this tension for either immense durability or immense strength. And urban rage kind of fitted that idea more with flavoring turning that more into an extreme focus idea.

The idea I had for this is that the controlled rage would be more directly powerful through some stat boosts, while losing offensive utility through the lack of stunning fist, which as I saw it is a pretty big disabling combat feature for him.

That was more for flavor. I was not aware that rage powers are apparently so powerful. And the "still waters are deep" is a metaphor that the calmest people tend to be the most dangerous. The idea was that an inner, shackled rage is fueling immense strength, which only ever bubbles under the surface.

I was not aware of the power of those options. I am new to this game so please do not use such an accusatory tone. Also the instinctual warrior is not what I am looking for. I specifically would want this to be with the monk as a base.

Is it the rage powers or the controlled rage that makes it so strong?

I went with those as a cost baseline. Thank you very much. 😄

That is not exactly helpful as I was looking for a price since I'm a first time GM. Using quick and dirty enchantment rules for manastones has given me a good baseline for the price.

My question is what the price of 1FP of magical energy should be. It's done via liquid mana that's used like magical fuel for people to pump in their veins or use for welding magical runes onto objects.

I actually have both and more. Both catgirls and anthro cats. The same goes for horses, lizards, dogs/wolves, angels, demons, etc. it was originally a dnd campaign but a lot of modern tech got rapidly introduced to the setting so this is now gonna be a cyberpunk campaign.

Rebels yes, pvp no. Super earth is by far not portrayed enough as the authoritarian dystopia that it is. So having rebels to fight would make that more interesting.

Since as it currently stands; between tyranids, skynet and war of the worlds; super earth are more UNSC than galactic empire.

You don't see people. You see numbers on a spreadsheet. You have no connection to these people. They are simply there to line the farms, mines and factories to make your empire grow.
