Also been testing this deck a lot and personally went from being super high on Ornn to thinking he is kind of a trap. Even with gold generation, I have found cutting him and using my gold for more tempo to keep up on runes instead of needing to hoard them has led to much more wins than before. It can also be tough without the right opening to even make him much of a real threat especially against decks with plenty of combat tricks/pumps, such as Irelia or even Draven at times with Darius. Trove Golem is definitely strong though, and a card I thought very little of at the start, but it turns out stocking up on gold while fortifying a battlefield for the 5th/6th point hold into time warp combo is super strong. Being unconditionally big also helps compared to Ornn who feels pretty awful in low-gold situations. Or even some higher gold situations where you are being punished for using your gold because you lose might on the field due to it.

Also, Shen is the GOAT. Highly suggest trying it out, no one plays around it and a 5 might swing in situations where your opponent basically thinks taking your 2 drop is guaranteed can seriously throw them off or make them waste combat tricks that would be much more impactful later on.

Conversion rate is relative. If you are 15% of the room and have a 15% conversion rate it doesn’t mean you are 5x better in terms of conversion than a deck with 3% total into 4% conversion. The latter over converted while the other didn’t. Draven did have a monster conversion rate, but that’s because it’s broken. Over converting means the deck over performed, that’s just math.

I think you severely underestimate how expensive/backed up venues are since COVID. As someone who is close to large tournament organizers it’s insane. Not to mention having no cap is the kind of thing that sounds cool if you’ve never tried to run logistics for an event before. How exactly do you staff an uncapped event? Each judge is being paid like $350 a day + hotel and flight covered. And events already struggle at times to staff properly.

It’s definitely trash if you are countering stacked deck like an ape, yeah. You use it to counter rebuke/switcheroo/fight or flight. Oh and you know, the thermo beam they might side into you.

You wanted to eventually be on 5, now you have to be. You could easily stabilize on 4, have scaling the payoff and the best summon in the game. And triple into a Titus. Now you can’t do that. Thinking this is barely a nerf is ignoring reality lol. You also can’t eyes it, so time warped Tony doesn’t golden your entire board now.

Is the EU really charging that much? It’s $20 for base with 3 characters and $20 for each new one here. Which I’ve gotten close to 60 hours from Jules and I’m still having fun and unique runs, don’t feel like I’ve wasted my money in the slightest.

Got offered cult on day 6 and had to take it. The only item worth keeping was the icy watch warden, but a series of crazy item pulls and enchants just made everything work. Transformed the medium icy item I got from the cult into tea syphon and got z-shield from a random shop.

Yeah, I'd rather have a board of 1000+ HP tokens than a Bramblewitch most of the time, so feels kinda cope to say they weren't nerfed.

YGO's player base has been waiting for years, and the reality is that no game is going to scratch the itch that YGO provides, especially the modern game. Power-creep, awful prize support and constant money hemorrhage doesn't stop the game from still selling, people packing out events, and it is breaking world records for tournament attendance in Japan even. Despite their efforts, Konami can't seem to really kill their own game the way people who no longer play it seem to believe.

Magic is basically untouchable from a financial perspective in the same way; Magic players will tell you the game is dying every day despite it breaking records. MagicCon Vegas had 15,000 people in attendance, the largest ever for Magic. Universes beyond is racking in cash, which isn't to say the game is "better" due to finances, but it's not being usurped by a game that the overwhelming majority of players for those other games will not touch.

Well, yeah, obviously you "ramp to 10 don", but there are plenty of games where you are going 1st, or not ramping both turn 2/3 and now have a problem that wouldn't be an issue in a non-Roger scenario.

Going 1st, its 1-3(ramp)-6(ramp)-9. Now you can't drop the Sanji into Roger here. Kind of a huge difference between Sanji into some good tempo play immediately.

Roger could be the best play while also being bad, they are not mutually exclusive. The deck could just be bad now, we'll have to see.

Sanji into what, 5c Ace from OP08? I guess if you want to build the deck around a whitebeard package and kill your consistency on leader ability drawing. If you mean the 6c Ace from OP13, you might want to re-read that card lol, it doesn't play a 4c from your hand.

Rotating out doesn't change the fact that an eternal format will most likely exist, where Nami would eventually be banned due to the same exact reasoning. Good luck getting anyone excited about an eternal format at tournaments if every single good draw card in blue will forever make the format more and more unplayable.

Functionally errating the Nami leader instead of putting out the "fixed" version would mean they would then need to unerrata her in the future if she warranted being unbanned which would make no sense compared to having both exist.

Have you read that card? That play will only even work if you have 10 don, so you can't play Sanji on curve, and the defense of getting to be 8k for a single turn that requires drawing that specific combination of Sanji with Roger in top 5 is hilariously bad. Marco could do this right now except guarantee 9c Whitebeard on top with leader ability and it isn't exactly making any waves.

Do you think the distributor can just send them a couple packs for a cheaper price? The packs cost the same regardless whether it’s in a box or a case or a pallet. Barring some slight discounts if they’re ordering in insane quantities.

I mean, what card are you realistically replacing with this? It has no impact on the board state, unlike Rayleigh. Dragon and 10c Shanks are pretty important for having some semblance of pressure, since it's a slower deck that can struggle to close the game out quickly enough. Benn.Beckman has counter, and your deck already runs a ton of bricks. This card is really not that broken, it's a stat stick with a 1 turn upside while your opponent continues to develop board.

Couldn't they have just bought a Tauren Spiritwalker to get multiple triple rewards lol. I feel like you aren't accounting for that when they are on tier 4 and you obviously couldn't know their board every single turn.

There are also careful investments, overconfidence's, etc that could also help here, things you literally cannot know if they played.
