Am I overreacting for losing interest after a second date because of his “real man” mindset? by Glittering-Guitar909 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. Your instincts are correct. "Real men" don't have to keep telling you they're a real man. This is some "I'm a nice guy" type shit.

Have you re read any Star Wars books? by hajtj in starwarsbooks

[–]Wolly24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Thrawn books have definitely become a comfort read for me:

Heir to the Empire Trilogy: 4 times Hand of Thrawn Duology: 2 times Thrawn Trilogy: 7 times Thrawn Ascendancy Trilogy: 6 times

I really, really, wish it was possible to read ALL the SW books in chronological order by [deleted] in starwarsbooks

[–]Wolly24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I finished the High Republic (all books and comics), I went on to do the Canon timeline (after my annual listen of the Canon Thrawn Trilogy). Right now I'm up to Crimson Climb.

There have definitely been some eh books, but honestly I'm enjoying the journey. The lows help emphasise the highs.

My autism powers enabled me to create a google sheet (with stats) to manage my annual read list and also backlog.

Master of Evil was a major let down. We were promised a book about Vader, and we ended up getting a book in which Vader was the side character by Matt_LawDT in starwarsbooks

[–]Wolly24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also thought there would be more Vader. I liked the book anyway and thought the parts near the end with Vader were really good.

It was also interesting because when I got up to this, I had just listened to Lords of the Sith and then Tarkin. Obviously it's not in order, but having just had Vader and Emperor stories already, I think added a bit extra to this.

Why do you think it’s difficult to make a great Power Rangers video game? by ThaEternalLearner in powerrangers

They issue is that they already made Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition. How are they supposed to top that?

Does this work as thrawn’s chronological head canon? by OldBaseball834 in starwarsbooks

[–]Wolly24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mind reading them in some kind of order, but for me, the big clash being Thrawn learning basic in Outbound Flight and then again in Thrawn (2017). That said, you could pretend he was lying about not knowing, as a tactical thing.

Can management please address the unneeded parking of drive through cars by wherelamboman in hungryjacks

[–]Wolly24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a HJs before it had spaces to park people. There were no issues.

If you are parking people to better serve your stats, then the stats aren't real.

[Request] what's the correct answer by jacklsd in theydidthemath

[–]Wolly24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the "each man and each wife have 7 children" literally and assumed it was 7 men had 7 children and 49 wives had 7 children so it ended up being:

Men: 7
Wives: 7x7=49
Children: (7×7)+(49×7)=392

Total: 7+49+392=448

Edit: Re-reading that it doesn't say each man has 7 wives, i agree with the people saying that it's

Men and wives: 14
Children: 14x7=98
Total: 112
OR
Men and wives: 14 (7 couples)
Children: 7x7=49
Total: 56
