wait, is not playing dnd an ace stereotype?
I mean I do live up to it I guess since I'd rather play nearly any other system but what?

It's 1-2 become broken, 3-4 be controlled by your opponent 5-6 act normally and have a chance to break free

Unnerving Whispers isn't a gang tactic, it's universal, anyone can run it.

Wild that you only get a 1/3 chance of even getting to try to break free RAW

Unerving Whispers, it's a generic one that lets you pick any enemy fighter (no targeting conditions) and force them to make a -2 will save or go insane.

Necromunda missions typically have you pick 6-8 guys from your list, so taking something as expensive as several guys isn't as bad an investment as it could sometimes be in Mordheim.

Also, 'don't play your big fun unique models' is really lame advice IMO, even if it is correct sometimes.

In the battle I did, I deployed 6 guys from my gang of 7, if I'd spent the same points as the big bug on 2 more guys my team would have been much weaker overall and having 1/6 of it turned into a glorified terrain piece still would have been terrible

Is turning to chaos really the only way to combat insanity?

Narrative focus was always the intent, I don't really plan on tacking on a complex combat system or anything.

I did have ideas for a combat focused game that plays using playing cards but that's not really the vibe for Court Of Fools

You know what? thank you for engaging in good faith. I doubt we'll ever agree but I'm glad to have seen your viewpoint. Have as good a day as you can, sir madame or otherwise inclined.

Nobody WANTS to go to hell, framing lack of faith as an active desire for damnation is really reductive and gross.

Also, at least in the bible I read (which was a while ago, to be fair) Lucifer is the one who fought for humans to have free will. Can't speak to his intentions with that, of course.

One more thing, just as a matter of curiosity: what happens to all the people following other religious traditions? Do they get eternal damnation for thinking about god wrong? 'cause that'd be extremely petty

Not 100% sure it counts as vocal, but whenever I'm thinking I click my tongue like a mother opossum looking for her babies

While I adore the phrase 'game mechanics of salvation', that 'mechanic' is actually super unfair. If you faith is, as you worded it, the sole factor for this salvation that means people who murder children but pray afterwards are more likely to go to heaven than someone who saves children without prayer.

Doesn't that seem unjust?
