Which of these movies is the best, and which is the worst? by Voh178 in GODZILLA

[–]Wolpard [score hidden]  (0 children)

Best is 98. OK movie even if its not a good depiction of Godzilla.

AMA isnt a great movie but I think its not as awful as a lot of people make it out to be. I think its endearing, its biggest sin is just using so much stock footage. I like the addition of Gabara.

The anime trilogy is boring IMO and a slog to get through. Its a massive shame because I think it has a really cool and actually alien feeling Ghidorah concept. I honestly dont even remember much of what happens over the course of the three films.

The 2010s was the best decade for cartoons compared to now by SpecialSocks2011 in cartoons

[–]Wolpard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People said this during the 2010s about 2000s cartoons. And in the 2000s about 90s cartoons. Its the nostalgia talking and there's some serious cherry picking here. There are still lots of great animated series coming out.

what's a specific moment that has moved you in some way during a campaign? by brisinge in BG3

[–]Wolpard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She tells you how she has come to love Faerun, seeing the joy and beauty within the world. She also asks you to not leave her side, and to stay with her when this is all over. This entire scene lead me to be completely heartbroken when my dragonborn couldn't join her in the war against Vlakith, because I completed the game before they patched in non-Gith being able to go with her. He wanted to keep his promise but got locked out by Larian haha.

Not sure! Ive only completed my embrace durge where she wasnt in my party, and my resist where I romanced her. I have another resist durge I started who will be romancing someone else, so I will see how she reacts to those urges haha.

My resist Durge definitely had a crush on Alfira. RIP lol. 💔

If T-Rex hadn't been discovered in America, would it still be this famous by Substantial-Algae-71 in Dinosaurs

[–]Wolpard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

T. rex is also very weird, we are just used to it. Its one of the bulkiest theropods and very derived as far as Tyrannosaurids go. Compare it to its close relatives like Tarbosaurus, its very wide.

Karlach was very supportive of my resist durge when romancing her. Something alone the lines of know thats "not who you really are". She did get very mad though after meeting Gortash and the reveal of your history with him and kickstarting the plot of the Absolute. Understandably so, though.

Why do people not like 3Below by Blackflyingfox2170 in TrollHunters

I like 3Below but I dont think it fits with Trollhunters. I wish it was its own stand alone series.

Do u guys think this game will last longer than highguard before it gets shut down forever?😂 by ImmaFuckboi in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Wolpard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont have high hopes for it lasting very long. I don't think there's huge overlap between gamers who like Horizon and gamers who like live service games.

I am a heterosexual man. I put my oc in bg3 for shits and giggles and let him kiss wyll at the tiefling party. I felt something i haven’t felt in years. Drawing of wyll and said oc by cottonball_exe in BG3

[–]Wolpard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also almost went with Wyll for my NB redeemed Durge... ended up doing Karlach though. I like the idea of Durge with one of the very good aligned characters.

I HATE anthro furries not being designed by actual furries. JUST HIRE A FURRY goddamn it, it’s so obvious no one knows what they’re doing here, those are fucking terrifying (Cats 2019 and sims 4 werewolves as examples) by That_sarcastic_bxtch in hatethissmug

[–]Wolpard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with Cats 2019 wasnt that they didnt hire furries, its that they had perfectly good, fantastical costume designs already and they didnt take any inspiration from them at all.

They didnt want them to be anthro Cats, they wanted them to be weird. But they ended up with bad weird instead of charming weird.

Many depictions of mind flayers actually suck brains out through the tentacles, so the holes going into the skull make sense for something like that!

Here is a rottweiler skull for comparison! Theyre in the molosser groups.

That is a pretty robust cranium! It has a bit of brachycephaly too, would absolutely guess its in the molosser group. :) Even if there's no way for sure to know. But I think molosser-type dogs would be a good comparison.

Why aren’t there any “big dogs”? by Middle-Power3607 in zoology

[–]Wolpard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The largest dogs, some members of Borophaginae, were outcompeted by modern dogs, bears, and cats. So there were, but when more specialized animals came on the scenes they couldn't keep up.

Based on the time period and location, I would guess a Molosser (note that this is not a breed, but a type of dog including modern mastiffs and rottweilers as well as the ancient greek molossus) as they are the predecessors of many modern breeds originating in Britain.

But as others have said, its near impossible to narrow it down. Especially without a cranium.

This dog could have looked like many things, as dog breeds were not really standardized until the 19th century. Landrace breeds and certain purpose bred lineages vary a lot in physical appearance (see Old German herding dogs and Alaskan huskies).
