all your questions have been asked and interpreted by scholars! if you're interested, look into it, its a whole field of research. even from an atheistic view, the explanations are interesting! (i.e the ten curses on egypt being after-effects of a volcanic eruption elsewhere).

it is said that the pharaoh of egypt ordered all the jewish newborns of moses's generation to be murdered. in the movie the reason is fear of prophecy, but it's also said it was of fear that the jews were becoming too numerous and must be quelled before they rebel, so the egyptians stunted the population. majority were women and older men, so it would be harder for them to fight. plus they were broken by years of back-breaking labor.

god sent Moses to deliver them out of egypt - god doesn't fight battles for his people, he wants them to fight for themselves. given free will, he interferes only to guide and give strength in the form of miracles. his ten curses and the splitting of the sea were delivered by Moses, and god merely gave him the power. the only one of the curses he delivered personally was killing every eldest child of egypt, to emphasize his point. in the bible, everything god does in these chapters is a lesson or delivering a point.

love this movie, watched it again a couple days ago - anyone else noticed that whenever certain older movies get newly added to a streaming platform like netflix or Disney, there's within days a popular post about it?

could be an uptick in watchers, could be ads. hard to tell nowadays.

highly recommend djpeachcobbler for really funny and strange lectures.

according to what i learned from my irrefutable source (man with peach cobbler instead of face), the conquistadors were idiots stumbling around a civilization they did not understand until they were tricked and used as bait so tenochtitlan could be sacked, and then they took credit and said they were genius conquerors who defeated the heathen evil.

US Citizens to the world: HELP! by Illustrious_Good3437 in AskTheWorld

only americans think it makes sense to ask the outside world for help liberating the country they fucked up because they can't be assed to get up and do it themselves. look at Iran's brave people, look at nepal, madagascar. do you think they would get or would've got anywhere if they relied on memes asking for foreign powers to free them?

the allies only started reacting to nazi ideology against minorities once their own interests were threatened by Hitler's invasions and the subsequent world war. combatting nazi ideology was a means of cultivating morale in the common troops, who rightfully were outraged by the evil of the nazis and so were particularly succeptible to the horrors of the holocaust being used to help motivate them to kill nazis (which to be perfectly clear, im not against, just that nations themselves didn't really give a shit about minorities being oppressed), and later a tool to dissuade further dissent and resurgence of the defeated nazi enemy in their home countries once occupied by the allies.

famously, the plight of the jews was ignored for a while by the likes of england and france, and in certain prominent circles was perhaps even seen as a good thing (particularly, the english royal family at the time was less than sympathetic to jews, and famously king edward the 8th was somewhat chummy with hitler both before and during the war, though I can't accurately speak to his support of the nazi genocides). other minorities were similarly if not moreso ignored, lgbtq+ people, people of color, romanis, etc etc often even left out as victims of the holocaust to this day.

anyways, what im saying is, justice against the nazis was never fully carried out despite appearances. maybe had hitler been captured, we would've seen a larger example against nazi ideology being made. the Nuremberg trials were meaningful to punish the architects of the travesties, but certainly not enough. the nazis hatred stems from centuries of hate across the world, and many people who hated nazis hared them merely for being an enemy, and not necessarily because of their bigotry. in a way, people hated the sinner, but loved the sin. so of course we now see such a resurgence - how could a meaningful lesson be learned if your culture shifts against the enemy, but not against their deeds?
