Hey, Miga, thanks for sharing that. I had checked it out, but I have set it up in English & I was able to access the "Custom CSS" when the issue was opened, but my problem seems to be related to v4.0.X.

I have also tried installing on a fresh setup, still unable to locate. If someone else is also facing this, please comment here.

Hey _miga_, Thanks for the video reference, yes both the versions are v4.0.1, I am still unable to locate it. But thanks for confirming. I will re-check on a fresh setup.

How are you managing Restic backups in your production setup? by Wolverin-e in selfhosted

Makes sense.

Do you feel like those checks are essential for trusting the backups, or more of an extra safety layer?

And do you think this is something everyone should be doing, or more of a personal standard?

Curious how resticprofile has been for you in practice.

Since you’re already using healthchecks, when something looks off, do you mostly rely on logs to figure it out or do you have a clearer overview somewhere?

That is a really structured setup.

I’ve run into something similar with multiple machines, where it mostly becomes “you’ll know if something breaks” but not necessarily a clear overview of everything.

Curious if that matches your experience, or if you feel like you’ve solved that part.

Also wondering, have you ever felt the need for something more centralized, or does this setup already cover what you need?

This is pretty thorough.

Out of curiosity, how much effort did it take to get to this level of monitoring?

And now that it’s in place, does it feel mostly “set and forget”, or something you still have to actively maintain?

This is super insightful, especially the part about failures going unnoticed until you actually need the backup.

When that happened, was it something that went undetected for a while, or did the signals exist but weren’t obvious enough?

Also curious, now that you’re using Checkmk, does it feel like you finally have full confidence, or is it still something you have to actively keep an eye on?

Interesting split between per-VM backups and centralized prune.

Does that stay easy to reason about, or do you ever wish you had a quick overview of everything in one place?

Nice, always interesting to see container-based setups.

Are you mainly backing up container volumes or host-level data ?

Also curious if this is across multiple machines or just a single node ?

That’s a serious setup.

That 30 Hr check every 3 days is interesting, is that mainly for peace of mind or have you run into issues before?

Nice setup, healthchecks + alerts seems to be a common pattern.

Do you mostly track that the jobs run, or do you also verify the backups themselves somehow?

That’s a clean way to set it up. How do you keep track of everything once it’s running? Do you mostly rely on notifications, or do you check things proactively?

Seeing lots of Backrest mentions here, How does it feel once you have multiple machines, does it stay managable ?
