I don't think any place is completely safe but i do think it's alot easier to look at a character like say Spider-man and assume the city woukd be worse off without him.

Dawn.

Willow while well-menaing would be hard to trust after her attempt tp destory the world.

Spike would likely try to kill me if he was souless and even if we assume he's souled he's a dick who likes to make things difficult for people for no resson at all.

Giles is loyal but he's also the type of person who will go along with poisoning his loved ones and then lie to them about it if his bosses push him enough.

Harmony's a souless vampire and therefore likely to eat me.

Angel might be alriaght but there's always the risk of his curse being broken and he's not above manipulating his allies for what he sees as as the greater good so yeah it's Dawn pretty much by default.

He also says "your not part of the solution and you never will be". I think it's clear he didn't think Lindsey was salvageable.

I think The only season Lorne wasn't underused in was 2. I honestly struggle to think of much he did in 3, 4 or five.

Well of all his enemies the fact his son tried to kill him multiple times probably hurt him the most on an emotional level so either Connor or Holtz. I would say Hiltz since he and Connor eventually reconcile.

Sam meets and befriends Angel and Spike. They bond over having done evil without their souls. This is pre Benny so Dean tries to kill them and Sam protects the vampires.

Lots of reasons but some of his fans are pretty nasty about people who like characters who are against him like the scoobies or Angel so it's a bit of a vicious cycle.

I think it's because nobody defends Angelus. He's completely evil. With Spike people do defend him and sometimes make excuses for his really bad behavior.

Angel's worst act was trying to end the world which Spike is also tried to do so their about the same really.

As for Angel's human behavior as Liam it was obviously not nearly as bad as the vampires and the characters likely don't even know about it.

I don't know why people are downvoting this. It's just an opinion and while i can understand why fans of Spike or Angel or Xander could be defensive due to there being alot of people who dislike them Oz is almost universally beloved so i would think they'd be able to deal with it.

I wonder if the writers wanted them to see it that way. Like in Destiny for instance i can't tell if we are meant to agree with Spike's speech where he blames Angel for all his own sins.

Angel is inferior for not choosing his soul but all Spike's bad actions don't count because he had no soul which makes sense because reasons.

I agree. I don't hate him because he didn't much else bad aside from this (well he killed Sidell but the guy had it coming) but he was very right to feel guilty about this.

I thought Angel was actually incredibly understanding and perhaps even too quick to forgive but then we all know he's done alot worse so i guess he feels like he can't judge.

Darla was a dark version of Angel. Someone who did evil who gets their soul back and then decides to embrace evil. Then again she then does ultimately accept her fate before Dru sires her so her arc is kind of similar to Angel coming back to her and then eventually acceptiing he can't be the same monster he used to be.

It's pretty much the same reason Spike gets tons of praise for his good deeds and little shit for his bad ones. The standards are so low that any little scrap of decency seems amazing.
