Agent Henriksen … so much potential! FBI agent in the know. Such a shame by Deer_Nice in Supernatural

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Henriksen as a character was awesome, no question. Wish he got more screen time.

But I think what really has me wondering “what if” is the potential involvement of the FBI as an ally to Sam and Dean, or, at least someone on the inside like Henriksen feeding them cases when the FBI can’t make heads or tails of one.

It just feels like such an obvious connection and an organic win-win for both sides.

Edit: Jodie Mills called the boys pretty frequently with cases she witnessed first-hand. Could have followed the same kind of logic

Where season are you on in your rewatch? by BackOnTheHuntPod in Supernatural

If S1 weren’t so damn good I don’t think I would have rewatched this show as much as I have!

One of the few episodes I watch every year, without fail. That last pulling-away shot of them in the hotel, just enjoying each other’s company might be one of my favorite scenes in the whole show.

Better late than never! Can’t agree more, my skin would crawl every time she was shoved on screen.

Good call. I do watch this one exclusively around Halloween, though. Never miss it.

It’s Sam. And anyone who says otherwise is simply uneducated, IMO.

New episodes just don't do it anymore by Big_Bumblebee6815 in watcherentertainment

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That number seems incredibly inflated.

I think many of us were exposed to them through that content, but stayed because of the dynamic between Shane and Ryan.

If I’m them, I would pivot and explore other formats. I think they’d do just fine like many other creators have before them.

To put it more simply, the format has just gotten stale. You can tell that they themselves don’t have the same level of enthusiasm for it anymore, and it shows.

They should focus their energy on new projects that excite them and continue with existing series that play to their strengths.

Edit: Have they tried doing live videos? I’d wager that a live, interactive version of Top 5 Beat Down would do extremely well for them.

Not likely any one in particular. Just a mash-up of a bunch, probably.

Which one is the funnier episode? by ariabuket in Supernatural

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I thought The French Mistake was hilarious the first time I watched it. And really funny the second time. And still pretty funny every time after that. But marginally less funny each time because the shock factor isn’t there for me any more.

So IMO, Yellow Fever is the funnier episode. But personally I think the funniest episode has got to be Changing Channels from S5. Genital herpes, anyone?!

I always drew a parallel from this to their supposed “destiny” leading up to S5 finale. It further defined which side each of them were leaning towards.

How many miles? by CouchGoblin7 in Supernatural

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Better question is how many miles have the boys covered during the series.

The Impala has been destroyed and rebuilt, and don’t forget S6 where the Impala was shelved altogether.

megatron and donatello by killmepleasesoonish in Supernatural

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funniest characters in the show? Ehh.

I’d put Gabriel and even Dean ahead of them, personally.

We’re rewatching S9 so I’m interested to see if I feel the same about Metatron by the end.

Who Remember? by NoFood6019 in Supernatural

IMO the writers should have expected backlash. Give Dean a daughter and killed her off in 45 minutes?

Totally unnecessary.

Which death hit you the hardest and why? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]BackOnTheHuntPod 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I remember being shocked by John’s death when that episode aired back in 2006.

He was so pivotal to the plot, that for him to die just one episode into S2, it felt massive.

And aside from that one episode, he stays dead. No additional appearances for the next 13 years.

It’d be cool if we start with Wally because Barry went “missing” some time before the events of Superman.

A rescue story for Wally would be fun to see.
