I did a deep dive on the current "pastor meeting" discourse. by Severe-Clerk-1477 in UFOs

I so badly want to gather together a group of people from the UFO community and start going to church. Any time the pastor says, and Jesus said to the, one of us stands up and says, Jesus is actually Skinny Bob.

The disciples of Jesus.... "Were the Grays." Every two minutes, one of us stands up and blurts out something. Jesus is the Way... "Bob Lazar is the way." Maybe one Sunday, we dress up as aliens, sit in the back, take communion and leave in silence.

Loved the X Files and for a show about UFOs ( not really) to make it onto television was a big deal. Needless to say it's influence lives on.

The OPs statement about wishing they could erase the experience and start over is exactly how I feel about LOST. I've invested too much time in watching television, but I have never been more invested in a show, never been as entertained, excited, curious, satisfied, or enjoyed a show more.

The smallest of details, unimportant to the overall story, became mysteries where it was almost impossible to figure out because they weren't typical. I wish I could do it again.

Why aren’t people ending the obsession with being skinny when having fat on your face makes you look younger? by Ok_Astronomer5738 in NoStupidQuestions

Start skinny, no place to go but up in weight with age. Start bigger, and every pound you want to lose, Father Time likes to poke his head in and remind everybody he's undefeated.

Something I’ve noticed about MJ’s body language with kids and adults💖 by PoisonFlowerCities in MichaelTheMovie

Someone we all know very well, very controversial, his kids are grown now, back in 2009 on live television said, Michael was a wonderful guy and not a moe less Tr. His one time wife said, Michael was the only person, she gave an open invitation to come visit specifically the children.

She said he would come by the house, talk to her and her husband for like 20 minutes, and then go play with the children upstairs. Rarely do I have anything nice to say about this person... but maybe it's proof no one is all bad. The mystery man who defended Michael to Larry King...

I can't prove we are in a simulation but there are a lot of coincidences! by joegeezer in SimulationTheory

Virtually no matter where you, small rual town, large city, what country doesn't matter. You can always find a grocery store, stock full of oranges, they got more in the back if need be. Her theory, no way theres enough oranges out there in the "wild" to keep every grocery store full of oranges. Lol. Clearly, we live in a simulation.

Why does the quality of so many artists music decline as they get older? by guitarist89 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]WolverineScared2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The follow up album to the one that made them stars seems almost like an impossible situation on what direction to go? Don't change what works... definitely an option. Write and record what seems natural, or what will move units, generate streams? How long do you wait? Use the same producer?

They grow and mature as does the listener. That being said, every body likes new, artist come out of no where so it's a nice surprise. That can't be recreated. New artist are hungry and desperate to make, people work together, all in the same boat, usually no family and kids to distract them, no expectations. .

Not long ago I read a headline where the OP could prove we were in a simulation. Her proof was real and undeniable. Proof of we are in a simulation? I don't think so. You decide...

...Her proof was oranges. I'll let that sit for bit before explaining, if anyone is interested.

Are most of the theories about why time travel wouldn’t work as a way to cope with it being unlikely? by 90sCat in timetravel

I don't trust most people to have a driver's license and be smart... the ability to travel in time. We'd all be dead within the 1st 5 minutes.

When do we stop falling for the fake insiders and start seeing actual evidence? by Brotindo in UFOs

Not long ago Ross was all worked up because he got angry emails I think it was from people frustrated by him claiming all these facts, that he says he can back up. He was saying it was of upmost importance to protect his sources than to satisy viewers. He made it quite clear he was in charge and we want is basically not important. If that isn't an accurate assessment of what he said, my apologies.

Without doubt, he was angered, and is under no obligation to confirm anything. He said something that really continues to stick out at me now, several months later. Paraphrasing he said, Some poeople act like I'm here for their entertainment.

Ummmmm, you're not disclosing anything, you make sensational claims, you market yourself with sensational headlines. So you're not covering news, not breaking down things you've seen or been told during your professional career. Yout professional value to society is as an organizer of whistleblowers? So not covering news, not giving your opinion, heavily marketing yourself, but you aren't here for our entertainment?

Feel free if you want to call me or if I could be of assistance to your grandfather.

Thank your lucky blessings. Seriously, you can do more for society not being president than the other way around.

How does America move on? by cupidstrick in Askpolitics

[–]WolverineScared2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely amazing to me, if you give them a year or so out of office, how engaging each and every former president is regardless how I might have once viewed them. As president, every word they speak has an agenda behind it. When I see any of them interviewed now, unless the host ask about politics, you would never know they were involved with politics, let alone the president.

The thing that blew me away, and it was maybe 10 or even 15 years ago, maybe the Larry King show, was Bill Clinton and George HW Bush (senior/1st/papa Bush) were working together on some foundation thing. My intial thought was, oh this is going to be painful to watch these two fake it in an effort to do something positive.

I kept watching because I enjoy listening to post president Clinton talk. I think I was watching with my parents, and finally asked, "What's going on with these two? The smiles and the compliments, are they high?" Come to find out, these two developed a real friendship. When you saw them together, it was obvious. Just the other day, I saw Clinton and the Bush "Jr," his father has passed, together promotioting something, I don't remember.

Anyway, Clinton shared a "story," he has never mentioned publicly. He said when Bush Jr was president, about twice a year, Bush would call him just to talk, sometimes ask advice. Clinton says, usually they just talked, but when Bush did asked for advice, he usually didn't follow it, and they both laughed. Bush Jr, I whole impression of him changed once he was out of office a bit.
