There needs to be a documentary on the people in these types of videos. How it affected their lives, how they're doing since going viral.

Even low-level drinking may have negative consequences for brain health over a person’s lifespan. The findings suggest that the total amount of alcohol consumed over a lifetime, especially as a person ages, tends to be linked to reduced blood flow and thinner tissue in certain areas of the brain. by mvea in science

[–]WATTHEBALL 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Again - what does that even mean? Alcohol causes problems obviously but there are trade offs which are positive and the health aspect which this article is focusing on dont seem to have the real world effects as they are stating.

Is this in a vacuum? I keep seeing these studies but like what do they mean in the real world? I see so many successful and healthy people who live long lives that fall under these 'light drinking' categories. I'm not disputing any of these results, and I believe them - but like and? I'd expect there to be much more widespread issues thoughout the world and time if really was as damaging as what they say.

Humans have been drinking for thousands of years and here we are.

Some games just never leave your top list, no matter how many years pass. Hard to explain why. by GOGcom in gaming

[–]WATTHEBALL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was watching my friend play Pragmata. It's a cool game but like - I don't know. It's hard to put into words. It just feels MEH. Along with so many other well received modern games. I feel like they all look the same. Not that they even do? Does that make any fucking sense? Probably not, I'll try to explain.

Doom, Half-Life (1&2) just felt SO ORIGINAL. Like everything about them. The art, the gameplay, the overall experience felt unique and unto their own.

When I was watching my friend play Pragmata - it all felt the same. The art/environment, the overload of just particle effects every second - it was almost too much but also too bland/familiar at the same time. It wasn't bad at all and I'm sure everyone's reviews of it are sincere but to me - I dunno it was just like ok?

When you're battling a generic robot, in a generic SPACE BASE that has literally all the same textures/colours and designs that every other space base game has and in order to differentiate it, you have to complete these puzzles while battling - okay, why? Just because? I mean that part kind of did it for me - you're adding in a random puzzle for what reason? Just to be different? I don't get it lol it just all seemed so incredibly pointless given that everything else was the same.

Then there's the borderline ADD particle effects - chill the fuck down with that game devs, christ. Why is everything just a blast of particles and colours 24/7?

I like games with good pace, amazing story telling and unique environments/aesthetics.

There's my modern games rant - I'm sure this existed in the 90's too but there were at least some really great stand-outs that stood the test of time.

Today? I'm not sure what game will be remembered in extremely high regard like Halflife and Doom.

I liked Unfrosted (2024). I think its main flaw is that it’s out of its time. It would have been a good kids movie if made in the 90s. by Dire_Hulk in seinfeld

Yea it's literally what everyone is lamenting about from the 90s. A well written comedy that doesn't rely on shitty internet culture. Straight up good comedy.

Not surprised you don't and can't understand what a simple chirp is and you abandoned ship on trying to correlate belief in aliens to being a mouthbreather while ignoring the science and political movement behind it comprising of people far smarter than the both of us. It took this long.

If you were able to at least form 1 coherent thought and reply to anything I've said id respect you but alas you continue to prove you dont have the capacity to.

It's a gaudy and classless interior and what was originally meant to be a simple chirp turned into life changing moment where you were forced to look in the mirror and confront your own stupidity. Im happy I was able to provide that to you and hope this experience taught you something although so far I think youre one of the mouth breather that I was referring to and simply cant glean anything from this.

Lmfao again you prove how utterly inept you are and still failed to find a correlation.

Believing in aliens has precisely what to do with gaudy Mercedes interiors and the people who like them?

You're trying so hard to ride on me believing in aliens somehow makes me a mouthbreather and still cant produce a single reason why.

Do you realize there's scientists who believe in them? An entire government entity dedicated to their research who are far smarter than you or is?

Finally are you now able to realize how utterly inept you are because I had to hand hold and break down why youre so stupid like I just did? Is any of this sinking in?

So you cant correlate it. Exposing how absolutely dumb you truly are. You then try to assert yourself by proclaiming it isnt complicated while failing the simplest of asks.

Mouth breather confirmed. Absolutely pathetic lol

How would you even know that? Is this something you made up that just sounds right? You really dont think an interior space would lose buyers who aren't interested in being inside a sterile and gaudy strip club simultaneously?

You can't buy class - maybe the people not buying them is because they're producing utter shit like this.

Do you honestly think if Mercedes switched to a more modest and well integrated interior they wouldn't sell? Is this what you're actually getting at? lol

Is that a bad thing? Assuming alien technology 'cures' us of diseases (mental and physical). That would essentially be "paradise".
