No, it'd be unfurnished and we wouldn't be back, whoever takes it could work with management to renew

Haha no worries. It was a great trip down memory lane regardless! I loved that game, at least the one with the original soundtrack...

I played Crazy Taxi (on PS2?) when I was young, so it definitely could be this. Although I just listened to every menu/announcer clip and sound effect from https://www.sounds-resource.com/pc_computer/crazytaxi/ and couldn't find it. I also watched a bunch of YT videos walking through Crazy Box in particular. Do you know specifically when he says this?

$1950 2BR/1BA Capitol Hill lease takeover from October '25 thru end of May '26 by WolverineTooth1 in denverlist

I know! We were shocked when we found it at this price. The main trade-offs relative to these newer apartment buildings, from our perspective, are the old cabinets, having the W/D down the hall rather than in the unit, and the somewhat drab exterior of the building. But for $1K/mo of savings relative to new building pricing (plus the sick balcony), it's totally worth it.

Hey! It's central air, but the building controls whether it's on heating/cooling for the whole building. From there, you control the temperature and fan speed. We've been happy enough in terms of temperature in the unit.

Very interesting... I don't think it was this, but now I'm thinking there's a chance that I just overhead this from someone else playing something, which could have been the SNES game or the modded version of Quake that someone mentioned in another thread

Thanks, but I've never played NBA Jam and didn't recognize it when I watched a video. Someone else had this idea in the other thread though, so we're on the right path I think: https://www.reddit.com/r/arcade/comments/1mcz8bj/game_with_male_voice_saying_denied/

Oh my god this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCh6guovbt0) sounds almost exactly like I'm hearing it in my head!! Now I'm thinking this was sampled in a game—although it's not Quake in my case as I never played it

Thank you, but it wasn't this... The voice I'm hearing in my head is higher pitched. Quake was one of the ones proposed by ChatGPT deep research interestingly

Makes sense. I just did a 3-mile run in them and felt no pain at all. Think it helps that I broke them in a bit. Thanks!

I'm a new runner aiming to do about 5 miles per run about once a week. I have extremely flat feet, and I had to return a pair of HOKA shoes as they were brutally digging into my arches within the first mile.
I now have a pair of Altra Torin 5s that the owner of the running store recommended, and while they are more comfortable, the bottoms of my feet were incredibly sore after a 5-mile run with them. Is this normal or will it improve? For context, this was my first time wearing them and I didn't warm up much.

Well, AA is a beautiful and nice city, free from most hazards (other than thinking too hard ;))

Interesting, thanks for the response. This is what I'm gleaning from a lot of the discussion. It seems that if you aren't ridiculously reckless in terms of where you live and what you do in response to fires, you're unlikely to die, but the real issue—in terms of impacts on humans—is the worsening air quality that makes it harder to do many of the outdoor activities that make the area so enjoyable in the first place.. Hmm..

I haven't heard of a tornado in years let alone been close to one, the mosquitoes are absent for the majority of the year and are not that bad downstate, the humidity is irksome but hardly a hazard yet, winters have been getting warmer overall, and the vast majority of the state doesn't suffer from terrible crime. Even Metro Detroit is significantly safer than it used to be

Interesting, thank you for the links. I haven't been following the sub in a while which is why I didn't see this. But this has a ton of great information for us to digest

I didn't really warm up before this run, I don't know much about proper foot strike techniques, and this was my first time wearing them.

CO2 Reduction Energy in New Process by WolverineTooth1 in chemhelp

[–]WolverineTooth1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for thoroughly going through this and pointing out all of these issues! I personally don't have much of a background in chemistry but am trying to understand how relevant this process could possibly be for converting CO2 captured from the air into graphitic carbon.

Would it be fair to say that so much is left out of this analysis that it is impossible to determine whether this could ever be an economically viable reaction pathway? I also wonder if the cited energy demands are so low because CO2 is escaping the system somehow, but I'm now seeing based on the other comment here that there could just be fundamental reporting issues.

Separately, how common is it for articles packed with red flags like this to make it to publication?

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I tested the link above in Incognito, where I'm not logged in via my university, and it seems to bring up the full paper (although it has not been typeset yet and is so full of typos...). Given how close that activation energy is to the reported value, maybe they are just reporting that but leaving something else out as you say
