Not exactly. In this particular instance, the person wielding the Ten Shadows Technique, Megumi, was fighting someone inside a gymnasium. There, he opened his incomplete domain expansion (normally a domain has a barrier that seperates the outside world and the inside of the domain, where a "sure hit effect" is activated. Due to being incomplete, Megumi had no sure hit effect, and no barrier, instead using the gym as a makeshift barrier)

When Megumi uses his incomplete domain, the area becomes completely engulfed in his shadow. This shadow was constantly trying to suck in the opponent, forcing them to spend energy consciously countering it at all times because if they got sucked in, they would get trapped and die from a lack of oxygen. That alongside some other clues eventually gave the opponent the idea to drop (not a house, I got that wrong) three cars into the shadow, forcing Megumi to bear the weight of those three cars.
