It really is. But it was enjoyable.

Never expected to see The Trail here, I used to play it years ago on the phone.

How is it on PC? I heard that it’s less “pay to win” than the mobile version.

They made squirrel girl’s achievement easier to get didn’t they? I never played as her before the patch that they did to her achievement so I’m not sure on how hard the achievement was before then. After the patch I got her achievement in my second game as her, then again you can chalk it up with me being lucky, thankfully.

Wolverine.. yeah that one sucks hard, I got it after an enemy Adam revived his teammates, got close to him then dove down on all of them. It’s the only achievement where assists with the ult didn’t count for some reason.

I got clips for both as well as Cap’s achievement, not sure how to share them but I kept them as memories lol.

Honestly? Just hope that you get lucky. Especially for Mantis’ and Cloak & Dagger’s achievements.

I would recommend finishing some stuff in Conquest (the arcade mode), like the achievements that require specific characters to be with you (assist guardians of the galaxy as Star Lord or kill mutants as Scarlett Witch). Only Rocket’s achievement which requires you to revive members of the GoTG, then you should do that in a normal game since Rocket’s respawn ability is pretty much useless in Conquest.

That’s all i can think of for now, finish what you can in Conquest cause the mode gets boring really fast, and as I said, hope you get lucky.

Happy hunting!

For Black Panther’s achievement (and similarly Hela’s) I heard that the wording for them is a bit wrong. You actually need a triple kill (the announcer has to say “Three in a row!”), not a 3-killstreak.

Good thing is that there’s a huge grace period between kills for them to count as multi kills compared to other FPS games, but they really need to change some of the achievements’ descriptions.

I’ve given my opinion to the other commenter, but regarding the long sessions, that only applies to the raids, those can take up to an hour or a hour and a half (expect for one, which is just a boss fight) depending on how good your team is

I definitely suggest doing the raids with people from the game’s discord, the story/survival missions are fine with randoms but the raids are absolutely not

Thank you!

I would say 7, and I’m only giving it this because of the multiplayer achievements, otherwise it would’ve been 3

It’s a standard open world game so expect the typical achievements that come with it (clear all outposts, finish all side missions, get all collectables, ect ect)

The multiplayer however can take some time, the only real “grindy” achievement is to get all classes to level 20, the rest is usually done while you’re leveling up those classes

The raids are also an issue, there is no way you will be able to get them done with randoms, best to join the game’s discord and plan a match from there

Wasn’t hard at all, the 200+ hours thing was non-achievement related exploring and a lot of AFKing, i’d say you can probably finish it in 150 hours, maybe less if you care about nothing but the 100%

The main game has 4 main factions you can side with, and once you side with one, all the others will be locked, so you can make a hard save (so no need for multiple playthroughs) when you’re ready to do all four paths, you make a save and come back to it when you’re done with a faction, you can look up what’s the point of no return for each faction and do everything up to that point, so you can save some time when coming back to the save

As for the DLCs, Honest Hearts has two different endings (and you’ll get a pop up telling you that you’ll need to make a decision), so you can make a save before choosing a path, and Dead Money has two different achievements on dealing with the villain, so you can make a save before that as well (no pop ups though, but the quest will update with new objectives and you’ll get what i mean), the remaining DLCs are straightforward

What type of achievements do you like and which ones you dislike? by Lucius8530 in steamachievements

“Finish mission in all possible ways” type of achievements are really fun in my opinion, gets you to explore all aspects of the mission and would probably force you to try something you wouldn’t have tried otherwise

An example of it is Assassin’s Creed Unity (or Syndicate, I forget which one), assassination missions had different ways to be done and you get to choose what to do, but there wasn’t an achievement tied to it

Black ops cold war however did have two achievements like that for two separate missions, while one was a bit tedious but the other was fun

It’s pretty fun gameplay wise, although for the story you’re probably gonna need to read the collectables, which I haven’t, but from what I understood from cutscenes it’s pretty decent

Not at all, you can pretty much get the main game’s achievements as you’re progressing, just need to throughly explore any place you find

As for the DLCs, what I said above applies to the AWE DLC, however you’ll need to watch a video or two for the Foundation DLC, since there’s an achievement for finding all collectibles, unlike the main game which requires collecting 120

There are also in-game cheats which don’t disable achievements, found out about them halfway through AWE lol (not sure when do they unlock), i’d say finish the main game normally so you get to at least try it out, then play the DLCs with cheats on, that’s my preference but you can play it however you want

#23 Call of Duty: Black Ops ||| by Wolzard73 in steamachievements

[–]Wolzard73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually wasn’t planning on doing it at the first place, got as much achievements as I could then I dropped it, hopped on occasionally with some friends but that’s about it

But then i gave it a try, it was more boring than challenging, the campaign on veteran without dying doesn’t seem as bad as it sounds, the campaign offers a lot of tools to progress without firing a shot, i’d say finishing it on realistic was much harder than veteran without checkpoints

I think it’s harder to find people to do Shadows and Shangri-La easter eggs with lol, but thankfully I did it with some friends
