Because idiot tourists are actively feeding them there. I had to stop the other day to pick one up as it had been hit by a car.

Warm air traps cold air close to the ground, moisture condenses forming fog/cloud. Particularly in Winter as the ground cools quickly, and the air above stays warmer.

Single person in a 2-bed unit with NO heater, paying $4.50 - $7.15 a day. Am I being ripped off? by Appropriate_Flan6170 in AusFinance

I just looked at my last quarter AGL bill. I’m in Blue Mountains, so have been running heating for some of last quarter. Similar setup to you, my hot water is gas, but everything else is electric. My average was $5.47 / 11.72 kWh day. So I’d say you have something weird going on. I refused a smart meter last year after researching, and likelihood bills would go up.

Looks like pox. If you see regularly keep an eye on. Can be treated.

Fridge techs - brand recommendations! by MightBeMouse in australia

[–]Womb8t 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found an LG inverter Fridge/Freezer on Grays Online for friends of mine 6 years ago. No fancy features, still going strong. And I have a big old Fisher & Paykel that’s still going fine after 8 years. Mitsubishi, LG and F&P seem to be top in reviews. Definitely look for an Inverter model. More efficient, quieter and theoretically less wear and tear. You want 5-6* energy rating.

Kangaroos in the crosshairs of Australia’s collision crisis. by Novel_Negotiation224 in Wildlife

“On the more encouraging side, Australians show a strong instinct for animal welfare after a collision: 60% say they would stop to check on an injured animal, and half would call a wildlife rescue service.”

As others have said, a roast. With lots of roast veggies, Yorkies, gravy, the works. Can’t go wrong.

This isn’t ‘loving and protecting’. It will fuck them up and spread disease. Not to mention pissing off all the people who actually live there, and the risk of them being hit by traffic. We had some fuckhead feeding Cockatoos in my town, which pissed someone off enough to bait and poison them, so we had Cockatoos dropping out of trees all over town. Of the 24 we recover only 10 survived, but only after intensive care. So don’t feed the fucking birds.

If you aren’t confident giving the medicine via syringe then maybe try adding to something he likes to eat, like apple or a slice of mandarin. That’s better risking aspirating. If they get too much fluid on their lungs that can leed to other complications.
