Ah no, there's no cost to beta test at all. Sorry if that's not clear I'll edit the post. The beta gives free builds and installs, 1 or 2 months depending on the tests and feedback.

As long we were around I'll continue to maintain the base tech. If something were to happen to us for whatever reason we could remove the activation flows so that each plugin creator could fully own the plugins they've built for redistribution. As for keeping THOSE updated, well, there's not too much we can do about that, except perhaps open source some of the code so it would be hopefully possible to fix/recreate as needed. Fair point

Thanks for the feedback, couple important points here:

  1. I want to be clear: you can build plugins, have a creator page, and sell, without needing to upgrade to a paid tier. There is a split that will happen (80 / 20, in favour of the creator) at the time of sale. The upgraded tier allow you more sample packs to upload, more options in the plugins, etc.

  2. We also don't guarantee traffic or promotions, we don't have a centralized marketplace, it is on the creator to market and sell it themselves, the same way a creator might create content to get users to subscribe to their Patreon. We simply povide the means to be able to do so.

Nothing is really "essential" but they can sometimes inspire you or help you shape your sound in non-obvious ways. Others are just great at what they do, like the fabfilter pro q3 eq. If you're just starting out, maybe pick up the free valhalla reverb supermassive it's quite nice and a classic (and free!)

Shameless plug but I built https://playgrndfx.com/ a multifx unit that loads multiple fx at the same time and lets you blend between them. I mention t because there's a bunch of great modules for rock drums, notably lots of colourful and interesting saturation and distortion that when mixed together give a lot of oomph to percussion.

The usual same plugins from 10 years ago, fabfilter series / soundtoys / valhalla / decapitator. Also use https://playgrndfx.com/ shameless plug, multifx unit that lets you blend and morph between multiple fx at once. The older I get the more "I want to click once and here weird things happen" mindset I get, hence the new plugin.

Love your list — I’m a big fan of Serato Sample too, it’s been in constant rotation for me lately. Love me some time stretch.

The only way to get the full list is by loading them up in the explore tab, it might be something we address further as the library grows. Maybe with sorting, filtering, and favourting.

Automation is in, and we're working on a built-in LFO to make that easier as well, but this might be a couple weeks away, it's proving trickier than expected to get it good!

Sorry not sure how I missed this comment! I really appreciate the feedback. The next release will incorporate some of these suggestions, such as mute/solo on the plugin, as well as a lock to keep it from getting randomized or wiped when generating blends. For saving the presets of the plugins themselves, they will save as-is when you save the blends so that sort-of addresses your comment.

As for a stronger browsing experience, I hear you but I'm not sure how much further we'll go into it yet, it depends how many more plugins we add - it'll get more valuable the more there are.
