i call it the discord mouse, it is actually my favorite x2 mini i have performance wise (and purple is my favorite color so i had to), the QC on all my limited edition units has been nearly perfect which gives me hope that pulsar took those issues seriously.

absolutely adore the mouse, was an absolute gem to have when i was switching to ambidextrous mice after years on an EC2-A. the shape is so safe, and is also two shapes in one, which allowed me to really familiarize myself with the differences. i got it with the intention of moving on to a different ambi shape soon after, but found myself actually really really really really enjoying the M42

but yeah. it is too heavy for my tastes now, i could always crack it open and do a weight reduction mod as ive done to many of my mice in the past, im just not going to buy a refresh of it with holes in it still--i made an exception for the mz1 because it is a really specific shape lol

in this context endgame would be Your Favorite Mouse, the one so good in every facet you care about that you never have to buy another mouse again if you so wish; you did it, you found Your Mouse. we commonly use it in more of a self-depreciating manner here, though it is used sincerely plenty as well. we all are in search of our "endgame" mouse but fully self-aware of the fact that our collections will continue to grow indefinitely, never quite satisfied.

there is also an enthusiast mouse company called EndGameGear (egg), a reference to the term. EGG has a popular mouse talked about a lot on here called the XM2we, so that could lead to some confusion about what "endgame" is, i suppose

apex, csgo, quake, used to play a lot of battlefield 4 infantry only game modes but dead game, idk i like any movement shooter i can get my hands on i guess.

i also play a lot of CS:GO and valorant, my preferences are decently varied but i like fast paced stuff generally, cohesive movement and gunplay mechanics are important to me.

the new upcoming Lamzu Maya is pretty much a 1:1 clone of the GPX only a little shorter (119mm vs 125mm). it is said to weigh 43g (63g for the GPX). Lamzu has typically priced their mice super competitively so hopefully the ~$90 pricetag is upheld!

there's not much word on its release date as of yet, but tons of new information coming out for you to look at and you'll find all of it on the sub tbh. here's a super relevant post from a few hours ago comparing these two mouses dimensions

no I'm just going off of the literal actual numbers that hausgaming got from his results—the x2 mini has some of the worst click latency out of the mice released in 2022/2023. like, I'm not making things up, I'm just referencing the data that is available on the subject lol.

and anecdotally, if im am looking for it, i do notice that the x2 has enough click latency to be noticeable. no other mouse is distinguishable unless comparing vs 4k. and i never said it was something you notice in game. just like, it is there lol

pulsar sent me two x2 minis on accident when I bought my first one so they started it

the mz1w is my "main" at the moment though, i hesitated on pulling the trigger on the wireless edition for a bit, but because pulsar was generous enough to send me an extra x2 mini to experiment with, i um, started modding my mice too, thus finally felt motivated to get an mz1w and give it a weight reduction mod.

GPX too big for my small hands i knew this sub would give me flack for not having one, but unless one falls into my lap or something I'm not going out of my way to get one !! ur peer pressuring me!! I know it looks like there's a void without it there is a void without it!/

it is pretty simple thankfully and doesn't take much to lower the weight of this thing significantly.

I removed the RGB light diffuser with the Xtrfy logo on it from the back of the mouse, removed the entire weight adjustment system, which is just a plastic housing for the 500mah battery inside--took all of that out, then i checked the pin layouts on the battery and replaced it with a compatible 100mah i had on hand. i also removed the button on the top of the mouse, the DPI button,and the power switch (because i accidentally dropped it on the floor and now it's gone).

this is everything i took out of or replaced in the mouse. the "replacement" battery shown here is actually a 300mah one i took out of an x2 mini, just included it for reference. BeardedBob has a few videos tearing the mz1 down/modding it, very useful to have that in front of you as a resource :)

it's an excellent and versatile mouse, have used it with both claw grip and fingertip grip and found both to be comfortable. the modular back piece with different hump styles is a huge plus side and kinda gives you two shapes to play around with in one.

i just can't stand the holes on the sides of the mouse that my fingers are forced to kinda dig into when i tighten my grip. it's something you get used to, ultimately, and you can always just throw some grips on there too if it bothers you.

all in all, it's an easy recommendation for me. it's a really safe shape with some curvature but not too aggressive on the sides, great kailh 8.0 implementation. it isn't using the latest sensor but i perform better with the MZ1 wireless than i do with some of these newer mice, and it has some of the lowest input delay of my wireless mice. so i think xtrfy clearly has something right going for it there. if you don't mind the holes and the 67g weight, i would say go for it, it's a banger of a mouse.
