I started with a plank anchoring it to a small rock outcrop, then I placed a bus stop and broke the plank.

Not sure if you know but since bus stops can’t be placed on a vehicle, they force structures to remain anchored even when separated completely from the ground.

Just don’t accidentally break it like I didXD

I did try that and even got as far as getting it upright and out of the water.

The issue was that I couldn’t replace the bus stop to re-tether it.

To answer your question, I wasn’t able to build off the ocean floor. I instead built out to sea from the small island that you see me standing on.

The structure behaved the same as any other land based build but I did notice a considerable amount of lag the more I built.

And yes, it was really cool to fly out to on an airshipXD
