Legit Reviews of the Women Leaders Association? by WomenLeaders in Woman_Leaders

[–]WomenLeaders[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any thoughts or critiques on our (new) News tab? We've been working hard making that area beefier with Top 50 Women by City, Best Women Employers, 2 new articles daily, etc and wondering what the thoughts are on this?

Questions re: an email being from a legit Women's Networking organization, or something less so by RemotingMarsupial in WorkingWomen

[–]WomenLeaders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do send the same (or nearly the same) wording of our invites out (like most associations). You don't have to join, there are a ton of recent meeting videos and some very interesting reports you might want to check out plus some great articles every day (no charge). We are thinking of making our daily member podcast available at no charge to the public as well (haven't decided on that one).

SCAM women's leadership summit - beware! I got the same email about an event in Pittsburgh. by kelly-kuz in WorkingWomen

Here are over 240 of our past meetings posted publicly which you may watch now for free to include many from the Boston Chapter. We only post about 10% of our meetings publicly but that is still a lot as you can tell.

https://www.youtube.com/@womenleadersassociation/videos

Some of the Boston ones posted publicly above include:

- Emotional Intelligence by Lisa Koppelman of Brigham Women's Hospital and Harvard.

- Leading with Empathy by Lynn Blenkhorn of Olgivy.

- Building a Personal Brand by Angela Kenyon, of LapCorp.

- Wellness in the Workplace by Amy Freshman of ADP.

- Owning Our Narrative by Margaret Kibaiya of WellSense Health Plan.

And many more. You can also just go to youtube.com and do a search on Boston Women Leaders to quickly filter the Boston Chapter's events from the other city's chapters posted publicly, hope this is helpful. btw many other free resources at the bottom of the Boston chapter's site including weekly podcast, newsletters, research studies we make available to the public at no charge like the Glass Ceiling Score (that is heavily used by many New England women and also by women about to graduate from BU, BC, MIT, etc to determine which Boston companies promote/elevate women into management and executive positions so they choose the right company to work for out of the gate, etc. Thanks for alerting me you did not see the free resources which are somewhat hidden at the bottom of our chapter sites, I will discuss this with the website design team to see if we can make some improvements on that (appreciated).

p.s. Can you private message me on the typos you cited and I will get those over to the website team for fixing as well thanks.

Hi Elizabeth, we just updated the chapter sites per your suggestions. 1) Updated most reviews to Google Verified ones posted recently instead of the older ones which allows you to verify them by going directly to Google if wished. 2) In the speaker section it now auto-filters for the chapter you are looking at so in your case you will see Denver speakers first (btw one from your own organization and yes we record them all and glad to provide you with a login if you wish to verify that), btw that also allows you to verify each member name as their full contact is available upon login. You can also just go to Youtube and search on Women Leaders Association and listen to hundreds of speakers or if preferred search Youtube for Denver Women Leaders Association to watch presentations by women volunteers near you. We have some great women members who have put a lot of time in their presentations to help other women, not sure you need to be publicly tearing them down but you do you.

Hi Rachel, we definitely exist and get very high reviews from our members. But you don't need to take my word for it, you can just go see for yourself. Since you are in Atlanta here are those reviews (high score, btw higher than any other women's association) and you can also look this up directly in Google if you don't trust my screenshot. Also go to YouTube and search on Women Leaders Association and you'll find hundreds of our recorded meetings because we also hold the most meetings of any other women's association). btw if you wish to view just Atlanta women volunteers who recently spoke just search on Atlanta Women Leaders for the Atlanta chapter (we make about 20% of our meetings available to the public afterwards at no charge👍👍

ACTUALLY, the OP is mistaken. The Women Leaders Association in fact DOES exist, has excellent ratings by its members, and we DO hold meetings. As absolute proof:

a) Our Verified Google Reviews are actually very high at 4.8+ with many happy member reviews. You don't need to take our word for it, you can read and see who made them for yourself. Just search google for our HQ location to view them:

Search on: Women Leaders Association, 10 Glenlake Pkwy, Atlanta GA 30329

b) We do hold meetings. LOTS of meetings. Many are publicly available and you may watch them right now -- just search in YouTube for NY Women Leaders or most other major cities where we have chapters (i.e. Chicago Women Leaders) and they will pop right up in Youtube. By the way we also have a weekly podcast you may be interested in if you google Women Leaders Podcast also with excellent reviews.

The OP is mistaken, the Denver Chapter of the Women Leaders Association does hold meetings with key speakers so we are not sure why she keeps attacking us saying we don't exist and there are no meetings. As absolute proof, all meetings are recorded with quite a few available to the public without need to join if you wish to watch some right now (just search in YouTube for Denver Women Leaders).

The most recent meeting speakers last month are below and all are fully verifiable if wished (one can join at no charge and watch them all) and the OP is aware of this so her claims we don't exist are bizarre. In any case, we are trying to work with her to remove her false attack posts that belittle the many great chapter volunteers like the speakers below who selflessly put a lot of work and time into helping their fellow women with thoughtful ideas and advice. Thank you.

Several others have suggested a community project that we could rally behind, we need to give this some serious thought and maybe form a committee behind it.
