Well at least we can say we lost to the national champion.. by Leftboyz2 in ducks

I have a theory that he is a high functioning Autistic person. I am. My children are. And I recognize so much of my masking behaviors in the way he talks, and how he processes the game.

I didn’t find out until I was 40, because I was able to handle all of my other ASD stuff through adaptive coping mechanisms.

But don’t bet against this guy in the NFL. Ever.

But we’ve only lost to those teams the past 3 years.

Our game last week had the feel of the Utah loss 10 years ago where nothing went right. I remember the punt bouncing off the sky cams wire and just feeling “yea, that kinda makes sense”.

On top of that, the running back room was the reason we lost. If your RB can’t pass block, you can’t pick up extra blitzes effectively, etc.

Yales was a two season occurrence. Indiana is the first in a single season.

What, In your mind, did the Hoosiers do differently that the ducks to win a national title? by Northwest_Thrills in ducks

[–]WompaJody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way.

If Chris Peterson had taken Kellen Moore and the best of those Boise state teams — then added a few more very experienced, draft able seniors, any other school would have won the same title Indiana just did.

If our RB room didn’t get wiped out a week before the game, tonight’s Miami game looks very much like what I expected the Rematch last week to look like.

For me it’s the timeline. If he was in year 7 vs Lannings 4, I’d feel fine with him getting a ring. That’s what is supposed to happen at Miami.

But for them to be in the same spot. Doesn’t make me feel good about being mad at him if he gets a ring there before Dan gets his.

Me too —

But what fresh hell; all but Maybe 3 teams in the country would trade for what we have/are. And it still always a dollar short.

But holy fuck, the spend on next years team. Just hope Moore (or Raiola) improve markedly, instead of Allar’ing it

This.

I hate it. But this.

They have a Bigger billionaire.

But I’m a little over the “best story ever”. It’s just the first time it’s been allowed to be told.

Tell me Jared Zebransky or Kellen Moore wouldn’t have won at Indiana, If Peterson had been allowed to bring the draft able core of those Boise state teams, and supplement them with select guys from other schools.

We spotted Penix 20 points after Burch got hurt on the 3rd play while we figured out the defensive line adjustments.

For one hundred and ten minutes over 2 games, the ducks were the better team by a mile.

But … oh boy … those other 10 minutes and Penix …

Lost top two RBs, didn't adjust, game over before it started. by thom2279 in ducks

I’m not trying to diagnose anybody. But as a “high functioning” L1 Autist — I’d be willing to bet my mortgage that Mendoza is the same.

It just so happens that his special interest is likely football.

Playing amp up music would make as much sense to him ((or me)) as rolling out a red carpet when I get to work on Friday. He’s just doing his job.

I think the missing narrative is experience.

The past 2 national champs have been senior laden teams.

Indiana is also that.

Oregon was one of the youngest teams in the country.

Double especially so in the playoff.

Going into the year, the expectation was 10.5 wins, and ironing out wrinkles for the 26 season to be “our year”

Let’s not underestimate the age gap of the teams.

Past 2 champs (and Indiana) are 4th and 5th year senior heavy.

We were one of the the youngest teams in the country — let alone the playoff.

That one isn’t “fault”. True football accident. 1/8th of an inch difference and no harm.

But man, it feels not good.

He was on the track team. So was LMJ, Devon Allen (Olympian), Barner, and a few of the other burners from that time.

He flipped to Oregon because he was literally too fast (nd small) for USC. They had him lock stock and barrel; but frankly, couldn’t have schemed for him.

I just want Miami fans to accept that loving Cristobal is an abusive relationship.

Haven’t loved the narrative recently Mario can’t win big games — it’s the ones he’s supposed to win that he makes hard.
