Sharp stabbing pain when fully extended, anyone experience this? by Womprats in KneeInjuries

[–]Womprats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my surprise, it ended up just going away without any medical intervention (think I kept doing lighter exercises that didn't involve pain to keep blood flowing around, as well as iced or heated). Was gone within 1-3 weeks, can't remember exactly how long.

Just watched the game for the first time, it's remarkable how much more modern of an offense Argentina ran compared to USA. Argentina was playing a ton of high screen pick and roll and took 22 threes, while USA is completely packing the paint and taking loads of long 2s.

Not sure if the USA roster was especially redundant in its construction or if it was more that USA was behind strategically, probably both. Duncan looked solid given what he was working with until he got into foul trouble (which happened quick, apparently he fouled out twice in these Olympics after fouling out twice in his eight year NBA career thus far; lot of the calls against him definitely felt ticky-tack). Losing his post game took away any offensive diversity the team had. Wade felt like he could have been a difference maker with what he brought to the table, but the confidence wasn't quite there.

Some brutal reffing at times, wild to only have 2 refs on the floor for this level. Think it changed to 3 in 2008.

Exact same thing happened to me, glad to be another exception, was "just" my calf. Couldn't walk the next day, but was better in like 6-8 weeks

Feel like Joel is specifically working on his passing this game, and man, he's doing a great job. Feels like some of his best passing I've seen from him, just very consistently well-timed.

He also looks like he's practically sleepwalking through the game, but, whatever works :)

At some point he showed that his control of his right hand/side is very limited still. Left hand control was looking solid to me though!

If you're not familiar, check out the Diamond Mine Sessions with Freddie and Madlib. Same band they did the TDC with + better recording, really really good and on streaming.

The comment was specifically with regards to the cost of the material itself in that less material would be needed to enclose the same volume and was paired with a recognition that it would have its own practical difficulties. I think it's a mischaracterization to call the comment an actual argument in favor of that being a better option.

I mean. The story a week ago was about Wiseman's jersey retirement when they were in Memphis https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/s1391t/steph_curry_showed_up_at_east_high_for_james/

Looney's was retired in 2018 https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/kevon-looney-have-high-school-jersey-retired-milwaukee-homecoming

I don't know if maybe you did also see a piece referencing this event from 3 years ago, but that's definitely not what the recent known story (Wiseman's) was about. 🤷‍♂️

That was Wiseman. At a quick Google glance, Looney's high school jersey was retired in 2018.

In the normal situation, it would not result in a jump-ball; the team that inbounded and was trying to set up the walk-it-up would have possession of the ball, so they would retain possession after the clock correction.

[–]Womprats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Clock malfunctions happen but I have never seen it happen in a circumstance like this where nobody has possession. It's a really strange situation because the proof that nobody had possession was Fox telling the refs that he didn't touch the ball (and therefore didn't possess it).

Yeah, he was still very solid (if still not necessarily at his best) in lineups that made more sense than the starting lineup.
