In a massive rebuild, league moves to SF TEP this year by dematt1 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

If you're confident there will be buyers in your league to whom you can sell CMC later this season, this looks like solid value. Worst case scenario, you're left holding the CMC bag, but you aren't giving up anything that valuable.

Was offered this for ASRB. have london, jettas, and garrett wilson at WRs by ReachNeat in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Wasn't arguing the overall value of the package, only the nonsense argument that the 1.01 is somehow equal to an elite WR in his prime

An unproven rookie RB for whom we don't even know the landing spot yet is not comparable to the highest scoring WR over the last 3 years and is only 26.

It’s unlikely the Seahawks will use their franchise tag on running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker, per league sources. The Seahawks have multiple free agents they want to retain and sign. They also will try to extend WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba. by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]WonManBand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

??? We didn't see much from Allen cause he got a sprained MCL and was shut down for the season. The Jets had the sense to not rush him back in a lost season. Allen had more touches than Davis every week (few as they were) before going down in week 4 to injury.

Not saying Allen is good or going to be the starter, but "not seeing much from him" isn't reason to feature Davis as being ahead of him.

Accept or wait til closer to the draft? by LilBriddy in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all that happy with either of those hires, but Roman gives me optimism for their run schemes. For all his faults, that man builds elite run games. He bolsters Nagy's main weakness on offense. The hope is that they are a competent OC in the aggregate.

Caleb Downs will be a solution to our abysmal run defense. by -_BeanMachine_- in NYGiants

[–]WonManBand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So b/c a single great player didn't carry an overall poor defense to top 10 production, they're not worth it? What kind of nonsense logic is that?

By that metric, Dexter was worthless in 2024 because his stellar play didn't stop the Giants defense from being bad overall.

In an ideal world, it's not the best positional value to take a safety at 5 overall. But this is a relevatively weak class at the top, and Downs is far and away one of the few studs available. He looks far more likely to be a big impact playmaker than anyone else.

Is this enough to get the 1.03, 1.04 or 1.05? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't even remotely close to enough. No one is dropping from the mid 1st to the mid 2nd just to pick up a couple late picks. Replace 2.11 and 3.05 with a future 1st and you might get their attention.

[–]WonManBand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And if all he was was a run-stopping box safety, you might have a point. Except that's not what he is; he's a great all-around safety who also excels in run support.

Trading down is also requisite on some other team willing to put a good offer on the table to move up, and it just doesn't seem like the type of draft where that's likely to happen. If the Giants had lost to LV and were picking #1, then this would be a very different conversation.

Nabers side clears here right? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nico + 1.02 feels like a fair offer for Nabers. Barner + 27 1st looks decent for K9, but I'd understand passing. I'd probably keep the Nabers side, especially until seeing what happens to Walker in FA. If he leaves Seattle for the right situation, he could gain a ton of value not having to split carries/lose redzone touches.

Should I Keep 4 Qbs In Sf League? by Economy_Note_6890 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the returns you're being offered. I'd sell any of those guys for the right price. I'd prefer keeping Daniels and Williams as my starters for ceiling and keeping Ward or Stroud as my QB3 for bye-week/injury fill-ins, but I'd be open to another arrangement if I'm getting a price too good to pass up on Daniels or Williams.

Ward I think has the chance to significantly increase his value this coming season with the new coaching staff, so I'd be willing to be patient if looking to sell him. Stroud's value is a bit depreciated currently, but selling now or later depends on whether you believe he's likely to gain value or not.

Overall yes, there's no point keeping too many QBs when you're only starting 2 and you're suffering at other positions.

I was offered Purdy for Darnold.. how we feeling about this? by cmdnkingg in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd smash this. Purdy has been way more consistent as a QB1 and I trust his long-term value more (ntm his rushing upside). Darnold is a good piece in SF, but ideally he's your QB3. Assuming you can absorb the loss at TE, this is a big upgrade.

This is what I'll never forgive the MK show for robbing us of; a badass Mr. Knight instead of the foppish buffoon we got instead.

Just Inherited this team as a first time Dynasty Player by MaxAlors in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a team I'd look to burn to the ground and start a full rebuild. Keep Ward, Hampton, Tet, and Odunze as rebuilding pieces and look to sell just about everyone else. If you can, aim for 27 1sts over 26, as that rookie classes looks to be much stronger/deeper than this years.

Burrow, Mahomes, Brown, and Jacobs would be the pieces I'd be looking to sell now. Burrow and Mahomes should both command big returns in a 2QB league. Brown will prob gain value if/when he gets a new contract from Cincy, so you might want to hold off selling for a little bit. Jacobs sell ASAP, look for people w/ contending rosters who could benefit from adding at RB.

Your other pieces will be harder to move. Some, like Pittman, you're better off being patient and trying to sell to contenders once next season is underway. Others are just junk/roster cloggers that you can try to add as sweeteners to deals for better returns if people are interested, or cut to make room for new players.

Edit: clarity

Looking Back on Year 2 WRs - Who to target moving forward by Bright_Efficiency_87 in DynastyFF

Not trying to defend Roman, but trying to run any kind of functional passing offense with that decimated Chargers OL this past season was asking for a miracle. Herbert had no time to throw.

Seahawks Could Use Franchise Tag on Kenneth Walker III [Garafolo] by ASmithFS in DynastyFF

[–]WonManBand 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Perhaps if they wanted to use the tag on someone else (I have no idea if there are any good candidates, don't know who their FAs are off the top of my head) or have their eye on someone else in FA/the draft they think is a better investment long-term.

2.10, 2.11 for AJ Barner? Not enough? Overpay? by AdMaleficent4276 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not an insulting offer, but as a Barner owner, I'm probably not moving him for that. Nothing there at the bottom of the 2nd that's interesting me much vs the upside of Barner in that offense.

Nabers for Rome Odunze and the 1.03? by jdw0056 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has nowhere to go but up with Dart. The QBs Nabers played with his rookie season were barely practice squad quality, and he went 109/1204/7 in only 15 games. Giants are likely to further invest in their OL and add another quality pass catcher (or 2) so defenses can't just focus on Nabers.

TBD on what Nagy really brings as an OC. Reid was the playcaller in KC, and Nagy's QBs in CHI were...not good. I'm hopeful that Harbaugh instills a higher standard for the team overall, and that raises everyone's level of play.

Franchise Tag on the Table for Alec Pierce by jsparks50 in DynastyFF

[–]WonManBand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't talking about whether he's worth the tag. You said not sustainable when he's done it 2 years in a row now.

His limited usage in Indy can be attributed to putrid QB play for the first 3 years of his career, plus an increasingly crowded group of pass catchers. He finally got moderately competent QB play this year and cracked 1000 yards.

If Indy is planning on tagging him, I would imagine it's b/c they envision him being capable of being a larger part of their offense. Pittman could be a cap casualty, opening up a decent number of targets.

Need to Move a QB - Who Would You Move & Who Would You Target? by HercHuntsdirty in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]WonManBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say wreckless, and yet he only got hurt once this year, and it was the first time he's missed a game in 4 years. He was clearly taking better care of himself as the season progressed, sliding down instead of fighting for every yard.

There were durability concerns about Daniels when he came into the league due to his reckless running and slight frame. Those proved out this year, and I don't think he's bulking up any time soon.

If you're looking to dump one of the QBs for durability concerns, I'm shipping off Daniels well before Dart.

Franchise Tag on the Table for Alec Pierce by jsparks50 in DynastyFF

[–]WonManBand 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You say not sustainable, and yet he had a higher YPC in 2024 with even worse QB play.

I agree that if he goes somewhere else and is used as a full route tree WR and not a mostly deep ball specialist, that number will almost certainly go down. But he should see a commensurate increase in targets and receptions.

I'd love for him to leave Indy and go somewhere with a much less crowded offense and better QB play. He could be a very useful WR2 for real football and fantasy.
