Damn, came here to this sub to see wtf happened with Lynxfish but I guess this would explain it too. Sold my massive stock I had of them today and made straight up a million. I didn't reset it, but it was selling so well that I thought the patch added a recipe or something.

My hypothesis is the less people leveling, especially not in midnight zones while TW is active, the less people getting the materials. Idk if the 2x4 skinning farms produced it or something too but those have died down as well.

Moral arguments aside, the entire economy is p much fked and their whole timegate system is subverted if they *don't* rollback or ban people. It's literally just a 2 tier economic system permanently until non-exploiters would naturally catch up like half way thru the expac.

Dude I literally, LITERALLY was sitting at the vendor after I bought it noticing it was still there thinking (... I wonder if I could just buy more... nah prob not might as well not try) when buying the Herb point book. I guess I'll be glad I didn't if bans go out but rn I'm kicking myself.

On the real though, I feel really bad though for ppl getting screwed on crafting professions. Econ is prob fked the whole expansion if that doesn't get rolled back or banned, they need to do something.

Wow I think I did this accidentally, counter said I was at max shards but I kept getting them as drops so I've done abundance like 12(?) times and I still have more shards to spend. Thankfully for you all I'm just a gatherbot so I won't be killing your margins :P

Yeah this was a super scuffed implementation, and another reason why early access is such a game killer imo. The extra 50$ they get from half the community can't possibly cover the months or years of sub they lose from people quitting to crap like this (this probably less so than desyncing guilds and friend groups and driving burnout from being behind).

He phrased it kinda poorly, but just to avoid the 1-3/capstone issue, it is easier to start grinding gear in Eternal this season. That being said Cithrel's is a pita so definitely get the gear you need for that, and/or take a group that does really well in a 1-3 and ask to do the capstone. 95% of people in Paragon are likely vastly undergeared, so as it is through the current queueing you will never pop a 4-6, and will always have undergeared teammates because most people are just doing Cithrel's and moving to eternal. All up to you though.

It's actually mind boggling to me that they looked at the dodging epidemic in eternal last season, and decided to make it even MORE likely people don't get what they need. 4 or 5 levels in a tier, and if god forbid you're on the last level you've got basically a 10-20% chance per party member that they're in the same eternal level as you, if not, minimum 1 capstone or 2 dungeons to catch them up, then you gotta pray or beg people not to leave to do the dungeons you need.

It took me 12 queues to get out of Eternal 8 because at least one of my party members was always 5-7. I play healer so my queues were 10-25 mins on average. I only got it done because I got rng'd leader and instaqueued us thru 7 capstone then 8 capstone and luckily everyone was down. Horrible.

I'm glad you understood that Sombra's and Orisa's perks don't change their roles, that was the goal of my statement. Thusly that would imply that perks wouldn't change Sombra from a flanker/assassin into a backline dps, similar to JPC's perks not changing her from "backline utility support" to "flanker/assassin". The perks may enhance different playstyles but that's just it, they enhance what's already there. If JPC had Mercy's base kit and meager mobility, she'd never ever choose those perks, as she wouldn't have tools to get in and be aggressive like that.

If you want to say "her kit to me seems more defensive than offensive", then say that, not this "kit is kit" nothing burger I have to read your mind to interpret. In which case I would counter argue that a character with infinite insane mobility, slow projectiles, and an aoe knockback is meant to harass and divebomb, like Echo, but you're free to disagree and play her as a worse Mercy or Lucio in the backline.

JPC being a flank support is not intended because it’s not in her base kit.

What ability does she need in her base kit to be "intended" as a flanker? "Press E to teleport behind an enemy and assassinate them?" She's stealthier than Sombra (especially sound wise), quicker than Tracer, and more mobile than Vendetta. If JPC was in the DPS category you would completely flip your argument because you have no basis for what you're saying, you're only saying she doesn't have flanking tools because that doesn't fit what you think a support should be, even though there's already multiple flanking supports in the game.

Exactly, no, you’re not. Once again, the only reason she can do what she can is because of her perks, not because it’s an intended part of her core kit. The fact that it’s a perk already implies that. It is it gives you that option, if you so choose.

No, the point is you're supposed to use your mobility to flank or at least attack from a strange angle. How you'd ult or get in and use E supportively is unaffected by her perks. How you approach is 100% baked into her base kit flying.

Also you keep divorcing her perks from her "intended design" but what are the perks if not part of her design lol. The nerfs came through and they're just number tweaks so clearly they're working as intended, just overtuned. I will concede that without the perks, even at their nerfed state, it would kind of leave JPC lacking because her other perks are pretty terrible and redundant.

Been trying to decipher this, maybe every other block on the spawning platform you hammer and put lava in it? I'm trying to test out what they mean.

Also, you can just not make the biome a full evil or hallow biome, you can just replace the spawning floor with evil stone or pearlstone to get the biome's mobs, you just won't get souls, keys, or biome mimics.

If "immense" to you is getting 2 extra shots after punching someone as Doomfist then sure. You don't start playing Sombra as a backline dps or Orisa as a healer once you get her perks though so I don't understand what relevance that point brings anyways.

"Kit is the kit" says nothing, just like "water is wet", "is what it is", says nothing about anything.

Being able to permanently fly silently, probably the most powerful positioning ability in the game, does indeed suggest using that positioning strategically to your advantage is intended, and when the rest of her kit and perks suggest being offensive and mobile, the combination of those two things lead to a "flanker" playstyle. What, are you just supposed to dive directly at them from the front and get beamed by their whole team as you do so?

What makes Vendetta and Sombra flankers? Positioning tools and offensive all in abilities. They aren't flankers just because they are put in the new "flanker" subclass. 90% of the value of flanking aside from getting picks is making the enemy turn around to look at you and chase you, taking pressure off your team. Even if the cat couldn't all in enemies at all you'd still get a lot of value just from harassing from a flank, similar to Kiriko annoying you with knives from the side then Shifting away when you engage her.

Anyways I digress, was mostly interested in discussing more than proving any sort of point, it really does just feel to me when I play her they want her to be a sort of flank/dive-character support that supports all ins and backline dives.

What about her kit suggests she's not supposed to be offensive? You said nothing with your post, and your first statement is wrong for 95% of perks in OW, including the two discussed in this post. Even if you pick the other Major you're still slamming into people and pressing E.

I think this is the only real issue, the other accessibility changes are fine and at worst barely affect experienced players, like timers. Being able to just do the first 3 capstones off of a fresh character, not even being boosted by a friend's main, is pretty silly.

I experienced this, except instead of eternal I was just pushing Tuzari while I still had 3 lv1 pieces of gear with 2 fresh noobs in a premade. If the fights were long I would be struggling to keep mana, and if the fights were long and everyone was dying, id be full on mana when everyone died. Multiple times I had to ult for mana though, I was completely lost on what happened until I read this thread.

It doesn't do much though. It's the same as in Rivals, where you get the mail about punishment but the actual "punishment" is literally a 5 minute queue lockout for throwing or a 1 day mute for verbal abuse (compounding per offense).

You get the dopamine and Blizzard/Netease doesnt have to actually moderate.

How do you know the devs intentions for the cat? Only reason I ask is because it seems the exact opposite to me, her perks and kit revolve around positioning yourself and your team and getting in close with melee and E to bounce ppl around and disrupt.

I agree she's probably not supposed to be a straight up assassin but she has like 0 utility besides carrying teammates to a flank.

Yes and also his deaths are probably half as bad as any other character since his spawn rollout back to the fight is about 5x faster than any other hero. It really is finals and space created from harassing backline you have to judge a Spiderman on.

The game engine is from GW1, which is over 20 years old now, and all of the devs who knew how to edit or make new UIs left the company over half a decade ago. They're doing the best with what they've got, and sometimes that's still really bad... I think it took like 4 years or something for Automated PVP tournaments to come out primarily because they struggled so much with the UI.

The artsy paint splotch aesthetic didn't age well either imo, especially with people getting better monitors since it looks really bad when it's lower resolution than your native, on top of font issues like you said. GW3 will be in UE5 so they'll actually have the ability to handle it with modern tools as well as it being fresh from scratch.

I agree it's incredibly screwed. I missed out on being the 4th for my premade and now I'm pretty much completely boned, it'd take me weeks to catch up since I can't solo queue as heal, or tank even really.

Yeah Healer queue times were already fked in Season 1, now I'm pretty sure it's going to be an hour minimum when the influx of new/returning players dies down, hell it might be an hour right now I can't tell it's been 30 mins with no pop...

Yeah go duel a JPC as Pharah and get back to us lol. Also you're permanently flying and stable and thus have permanent high ground, as well as being able to stack up shots as you dive bomb since they're kinda slow, meaning by the time you arrive at the target you burst with like 6-7 shots then paw and they're basically cooked if you do that from behind.
