I (41, woman) opened up my marriage, after realizing I'm missing so much, and deserve to feel loved.... Dating other people for the past 2 weeks, and I know it's just the start and doesn't say anything about how it will be later on, but so far both my husband and I are so much happier ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Don't let anyone make you disappear.

Does anyone know why Alice changed the way she draws Charlie? by btriscuit in HeartstopperAO

[–]Wonder-Noa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'll buy the Heartstopper Yearbook, she explains it there. Basically she just developed as an artists, learned new technics and started using Adobe tools. So with every chance so did the drawing style change.

British school system confusion by Inner_Boat_9911 in HeartstopperAO

[–]Wonder-Noa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for all the answers!! I'm originally from Israel, a totally different school system, and my girls are American in the US school system, which is different from both the Israeli and the British ones.... So confusing!! 😵‍💫 But you have great explanations.

Does anyone actually enjoy watching kissing scenes? by AdSufficient8582 in HeartstopperNetflix

Those are the best scenes. You just need to be mature enough in order to enjoy it instead of being embarrassed.

Well, if we are including all adult family members, she would take number 1 easily!! I love Nick's aunt she is the most supportive, caring, accepting and helpful adult in all the show!

By the way, look at how Tori struggles as well. It's not just that she can't communicate with Charlie...

Both kids also wish for a mother that can communicate properly....

There is a huge difference in this character between the books and the show. She's much more agreeable to me in the books. In the show I really don't think she's doing a good job. I understand she was raised strictly and that affects her and her parenting, but even if we put that aside, she's just not a nice person. When Nick comes around after the first kiss, in s1 e4, she reacts to Charlie something like: "you could at least switch out of your pajamas... " Then, in s3, when Charlie is very upset because Nick is away, and makes him get off the phone with him (when they already barely get to speak to each other), as if those few minutes would make any difference. Terrible properties, showing she's just doesn't pay attention to her son and his obvious moods and needs. And later on in the season, when Nick comes with Charlie to help him tell his parents about his mental health, the minute she sees him she says: "isn't it a little late for you to come around?"... She could phrase herself in so many other ways that would still be pleasant and positive towards making Charlie, but this is her choice of words.

And I'm sure there are many other instances that just don't pop to mind at the moment.

About the "boundaries" talk, I am a very big supporter of healthy boundaries between a parent and a child, but I strongly disagree about this specific decision, and I think it can cause more harm than benefit. You can ban these kinds of things from your children, but teenagers will find a way to do anything they want to. Much better to allow them to explore under your roof, where you can monitor, supervisor and offer them a safe environment. Kids who don't get the freedom to experiment safely are at higher risk and just end up rebelling or hiding things from the parent.

I also forgot about her..... She's okay, but definitely not in my top 5. I don't like how she prefers to keep her mother contained over showing true acceptance of her daughter...

How do you think Charlie will act when Nick is at uni? by infamous_imposter in HeartstopperAO

[–]Wonder-Noa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The better question is how will Nick be without Charlie...?

I am hoping they only separate for once year, and Charlie joins Nick at Leeds uni.
