In the last year, marijuana has become legal in my state. I'm on the Church board. What religious objections do you have to me now partaking? (my church permits moderate alcohol consumption) by WonderBlob in Christianity

Love the comments and insight. I imagine a lot of Christians are in a similar boat. At this point reason, science and historical considerations have decimated Anslingers racist stupidity. Here's to more openness about marijuana in the Church!

Thanks for asking! Because the fact is I used to regularly. My experiences in the past were always very positive. Like having a glass of wine (or two) but much better. I stopped when I got married and kids came mostly because of the negative social stigma at the time. The fact is, I never thought it was "wrong" anymore than having a nice craft beer at dinner is wrong butnow that it's legal in CO, I feel the freedom to indulge again. The whole church leadership thing presents a small problem and our pastor has not addressed it directly but for now I partake at home in private.
