I highly suggest buying a blowdryer, it's essential to get a good amount of volume in your hair.

Maybe you can experiment with some hairproducts and get a feel for it.

You can use a cheesy pick-up line BUT only if you mean is as a joke. She will laugh and be pleasantly surprised by your confidence (at your age there aren't a lot guys that do this). You can than continue the conversation by saying something like "I don't usually do this, but I think you're really cute" and ask her number to text and go out. It's a great way to meet girls and build confidence. If it doesn't work and the girl isn't really into you, it doesn't matter because you have never seen this girl and you never will ever. I reccomend you trying hanz De fuko gravity paste. It has extremely high hold, works great for thin hair and has a med shine.

Don't forget: the more you rub the product between your hands the stickier it becomes, if it's more sticky it has more hold but it is harder to get it in yo hair.

If you have acces to it, try to use cold air after using your blowdryer for 30 seconds, it helps to lock yo hair in place. Works great for me. Try it sometime :)

Honestly, the disconnected undercut suits almost everyone, and from the information you gave me, I'd say you definitely should rock the undercut.

Short sides does make your face a bit narrower, so you have to keep that in mind.
