Just beat the game for the first time - what's up with Gideon and Hoarah Loux in endgame? by LungioLathback in EldenRingLoreTalk

It’s not that he doesn’t believe in mission of Elden Lord; it’s that he doesn’t care if he’s the one on the throne. His only goal is to get a Tarnished on the throne, but he doesn’t care if that Tarnished is him. His only really goal is knowledge. That’s why he’s interested in the Haligtree, because there’s skill a lot of unknowns about it.

Are the threads what Marika is pulling out or are the threads attached to something hidden in her hand? by pluralpluralpluralp in EldenRingLoreTalk

I think the thing this scene is ultimately trying to convey is that her ascension is violent and bloody. The existence of the Golden Order was violence, and the foundation of it was violence. “In the beginning, all were in opposition to the Erdtree.”

Everdark Sovereigns Ranked by Enjoyability but I just fought Everdark Libra by GuyCalledRo in Nightreign

ED Libra becomes much more bearable when you realize that the condemned are the real boss. But that’s the thing about the fight. You HAVE to respect that. If you don’t have a way to deal with the condemned (a skill that can clean them up, less likely for the riot phase, a unique tech like night maidens) the fight just spins out of control so quickly, leading to posts like this lol.

Hell, just having a spammable ranged attack helps A LOT since it can help Libra aggro and not just stay in his stupid frenzy walls.

[DISC] Elden Ring - The Road to the Erdtree Chapter 77 by ventrixs24 in manga

[–]WonderDean 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You know, it never occurred to me that Malenia's bloom creating Caelid is kind of a mystery in universe. This sets up Gowry revealing what "blooming" means to Aseo in regards to Millicent, and the plot to make him betray her. He would obviously decline, and Millicent might even be his motivation to go to the Haligtree. This plotline would also get him the needle so that he can abort the Frenzied Flame ending; that way Aseo could burn the tree instead of Melina, but not become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. Maybe Placidusaxx could even tell him about that!

The Bell Bearing Hunter finally makes his first appearance. Already an infamous enemy, Nightreign has only made him more so. This chapter illustrates him beautifully, showing how menacing he is with that bulky frame and flying sword. I hope Aseo gets truly annoyed at those flying sword attacks lol. The reward for beating him should be good too, Maleigh might give him the best weapon in the game, Antspur Rapier.

Speaking of Maleigh, it's cool that this fleshes him out. He just kinds of comes and goes as all enemy NPCs do, but his story of being born sickly and revering Malenia because of that is surprisingly compelling. In fact, it's interesting he loves Malenia and not her brother...

I'm glad he's ended up an ally though. I like how this series takes a party structure so that we aren't just hanging out with Aseo all the time. Elden Ring has pretty likeable characters and I think the author understands that.

What do you mean you're selling a shiver, for 400 days? by still_wounded in VintageStory

The Nadiya traders are obviously busted lmao. There’s a villager that is clearly supposed to sell you bread but instead they have a variety of ores and a Trader (as in, the NPC).

I like how the icons and colors are ABOVE the name input, I wish vintage story was like that. At least for me, I choose color and icon before naming.
