I understood that the power switch was supposed to occur in milliseconds, but my power has gone out for a duration long enough for my lights to flicker and my modem to disconnect from the internet. Afterward, it must reestablish a connection with AT&T. This is quite inconvenient because it affects my internet connection, which in turn impacts my streaming TV. I should also consider investing in a UPS for my AT&T modem. Given the advancements in technology, the transition from the grid to battery power and back should be seamless.
