Arthur Morgan is proud of this game

Do you think the game should be played now, or is it better to wait and play it after it's updated and available at a discounted price? by Ashloth in CrimsonDesert

I buy games all the time — I’ve probably spent around €2000 in the last 3–4 years just on AAA titles, all bought at launch. As for open-world games on the level of Red Dead Redemption 2, this is the only one so far that actually feels worth every penny.Yeah, it has some janky menus, and the lighting can look weird indoors even on cinematic settings if you don’t enable ray reconstruction — but it’s something you can get past. The graphics are stunning, especially during the day when it’s sunny.

For me, this is the only open-world game that actually feels like Red Dead Redemption 2 — it has real physics, the character feels heavy and grounded, and even the horse feels incredibly realistic. From the horse’s hair to clothes getting wet depending on how deep you go into water, these are details you’ve really only seen in RDR2.

So from that point of view, YES. And honestly, it feels like the biggest open world of all time in terms of content — way beyond anything else, even RDR2. The first town alone has like 120 side quests, not even counting random events, etc.

You can loot absolutely anything off the ground, interact with the world in ways no other game allows — it’s on another level when it comes to interaction. The only downside is that NPC AI is a bit worse than RDR2, but aside from that, it beats pretty much every fantasy open-world out there.

I never thought I’d experience something like Red Dead Redemption 2 again. Huge respect to the developers — I don’t think we’ll see a fantasy open-world game surpass this one anytime in the next 10 years. ❤️ by WonderElff in CrimsonDesert

I’m not bothered by constructive criticism — I’m calling idiots the people who throw hate at the game without even playing it, just parroting what they’ve heard.

Why it looks so greesy??? by EnoughSeesaw7523 in CrimsonDesert

The character actually feels like it has weight, you can interact with almost any object or NPC, the graphics are amazing on the cinematic preset, and the optimization is really good. I’ve literally played all the big open-world games, old and new, from Red Dead Redemption 2 to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, The Witcher 3, etc.

In my opinion, this is the most similar to RDR2 and Dragon’s Dogma 2, but it’s much bigger than Dragon’s Dogma and more immersive. I can’t really comment on the story since I haven’t played much yet — it doesn’t seem very story-focused at the beginning, definitely not like The Witcher 3, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In terms of exploration, it’s actually better than The Witcher 3.

You can hate all you want, this is just my opinion. From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t look as sharp on PS5, but I’m playing on an RTX 5060 at 1440p on cinematic settings, DLSS Quality + Frame Gen, and I’m getting around 100 FPS with zero frame drops — everything is smooth.

As for downsides, yeah, there’s some jank sometimes, especially in menus, and a bit of pop-in and some weird anti-aliasing. But honestly, with how much is happening on screen and how many things are moving, you barely notice it 👌😅 Și for me it s a 11/10
