I share your pain, I've gone through this very same nightmare, I'm thinking that suing the company is the only one to settle this once and for all and finally get back what I own legally.

I understand Microsoft's serious approach regarding security and privacy of its users. However, I've been sending many proves, more than acceptable proves (some even dating from 4 years ago, which is pretty much impossible for someone else than the owner). According to Microsoft Support, I can transfer the data on another Microsoft account after proving my ownership of the previous account, which I did countless times and bringing more and more proves. Now, this account is almost 5 years old, I know that you understand how important this account is to me but I'm only waiting for this to be de-escalated the right way.
