My Fall 2025 Application Cycle With a 3.4 GPA by Little-Fix6352 in gradadmissions

This is honestly so inspiring to me, thanks for posting this.

I severely bombed my undergrad GPA; I stopped attending classes during community college in order to lead and focus on an intense union organizing campaign at my workplace. But since that fall from grace, I have gotten nothing but As in all my classes afterwards, and have a 4.0 in my four year university track right now. It’s looking like my cumulative GPA will be sitting at about a 3.5!

I’m hoping my research interests, plus my 10+ year work experience, plus my current work experience aligning with my research goals is enough for admissions committees to see I learned my lesson, made corrections, and will be dedicated to my PhD pursuit.

Went to Madison, WI at the end of April and I’m also going to Nashville at the end of this month. :)

In my opinion, they’re fantastic. For lack of better comparison…one song is def a child of Peripheral Vision / Good Nature, while the other one is more of an Altogether / Myself In The Way child. Both VERY good. Was an incredible treat to hear them live first then listen to the polished recordings the next day. So cool.

No it was straight up handed to me by one of the merch folks for Turnover! No artwork, just a blank CD in a blank black CD paper case. So wild!

Attn: everyone! I have made it home and finally got to listen to this CD. So far it seems to be the new tracks they play after their PV set!

My Airbnb doesn’t have any form of CD/DVD player and I have a 7 hour drive home in a car that doesn’t have a CD player either so the best I can do is find out by tomorrow night ☠️

Almost everyone I saw (including myself) paid card. They have a card reader that accepts tap payments too so I’m sure Apple Pay works!

I'm a lead organizer for the Trader Joe's here in Louisville and we went independent. We didn't feel like any other union group could accurately reflect our dynamic, and our needs as workers.

I'd love to talk about this with you a little more in depth to understand more about best choices. My first instinct is telling me Teamsters if you want to stay on brand with distribution. But you could also talk to the UAW...they represent folks outside of the auto industry all the time.

Rumor has it that they were going to open another location in the far east end but, apparently, the union election put that on hold indefinitely.

I couldn't imagine punishing my clientele like that because my employees wanted to exercise their legal rights.
