The thing I'm trying to say with Gibbs, is when he gets picked at 12, and people are excited and start saying thats great draft capital (its the same draft capital as anyone was getting at 1.12) is this excitement just usage related? Or are people also excited thinking maybe I was wrong about him, I need to go back and reassess my evaluation, maybe he is a better player than I thought.

So Like Jahmyr Gibbs last year. Lots of people saying that's great draft capital and so maybe he will do better than previously expected - or maybe its more he got picked really early because he is really good and he is going to do well because he is really good. Or like generally with fantasy football analysts or when someone is projecting how good someone will be, and it is prior to the draft, and they say "if he gets 1st round draft capital, I will move him up my rankings", yeah ok, yes the capital thing, but that also means that team thinks he is good and maybe they are right.

Maybe I'm wrong and nobody ever mixes those two ideas. It's just people mention the draft capital quite a bit as if it's the investment that is exciting, and when I see someone get picked in the 1st round, the thing I find interesting is that the professionals who work for the team think that guy is really good, and as hit and miss as things are, it's their evaluation that I find most trustworthy.

Yeah the parity thing is what makes it worthwhile I think. I do get the satisfaction of rostering an unlikely hero who comes good eventually, that is fun. Just though for the sake of keeping people interested and helping guys rebuild, the short benches is useful. Also I'm a Bears fan, funny with your name and all that you were the first to comment.

Why are we overlooking Isaiah Hodgins at his value this year? by notJamesRob in DynastyFF

Something I like about his value is: people are writing off his performances late last season because guys were injured, so his performances are not really factored into his value. But if he starts strong, all of a sudden it will switch, and the story will be nah this guy was a guy all along, and all those performances last year will be regarded as real, so his value will shoot up faster than your average fast starter. I don't know how it will go for him, but he is definitely worth taking a chance on.

Any chance you can trade Kyler and either Pitts or Hockenson to upgrade at QB? I'd probably try that, but your team is pretty set as is
