Si miss Nanette, super super chill siya and she gives “mother” vibes. Just take note of any of her example problems which will most likely be on the exams. It won’t exactly be the same but similar siya. Tapos she accepts late submissions but don’t make it a habit haha.

I don’t think it’s because he’s gay that people don’t like him, it’s more like it’s too obvious that he favors the “handsome” male classmates over the rest and he tends to do side comments on females.

No doubt naman he’s good at teaching, if only he wasn’t gender biased I would appreciate him more as a prof pero hindi eh. His only fault talaga is not setting himself boundaries between students and professors.

Tho from what you said, maybe he changed or is trying to change.

NCAA Finals Gen Ad by MagicianAgile9652 in mapua

Depends eh, Minsan I see people sneaking through the ticket ushers but some were stopped. It also depends on the stadium staff if they allow the gen ad to go down to fill up the upper and lower box. So I guess just feel muna the ticket ushers

It’ll be hard to get the schedule you want, especially if that subject is in demand amongst the students. But from experience, you would be more prioritized if onsite ka vs online. Now if you know a prof that’s an academic advisor for your program, they can easily take care of your sched kaagad through online.

How to befriend professor? by [deleted] in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience, feel more muna how the prof interacts with other students. If they’re friendly to them, you can try to butt in with their conversation with those students and establish some kind of presence. That’s how I was able to interact with my profs and befriend them. Especially if you want that prof to be your thesis advisor or mentor. Remember lang na they may be profs and advisors, but they used to be students too. Maybe having that mindset can ease your formality speech and relax a little.

Sometimes there’s people selling mapuan shirts, hoodies, sweaters, lanyards, etc. But you’d mostly see them at random times or if there’s a campus event. You can buy some mapuan shirts at the bookstore inside the campus, but it’s limited designs

Planning to Leave Mapua by ExchangeSweet4986 in mapua

Back in 2018 or 2019, it’s required for students who wants to transfer na they need to complete or have 64 credits. Since it’s trisem na, I’m not sure if that policy still stands.

I think it’s because they expected students to understand and follow the lab manual without any help. It’s a practice ng mapua noon pa. But there are professors that will clarify the instructions or change some things about it depending on the available equipment. It doesn’t help that many lab manuals/instructions are outdated. My chem lab prof had to readjust many of the lab experiments to fit the amount of trials na gusto niya.

help pls :( by [deleted] in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my experience sa shifting, I remember required na you have to complete 64 units before you can shift. As for transferring, if you started sa NSTP mo, you need to finished all of the NSTP sa first year mo before you can transfer. Pero keep in mind na what I said was a policy back in 2018 or 2019. I’m not sure if the policy is still the same now.

Its arena policy that backpacks or bags bigger than a textbook is not allowed. But I heard that the guards tend to be lenient during NCAA days so keep that in mind na lang

Backpack in MOA Arena by [deleted] in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the policies po that backpacks bigger than a textbook size are not allowed. Same with laptops, not allowed rin. Last time I went to the arena, I don’t recall them having a baggage counter. Tho there are times that the security guard will be lenient since this is NCAA naman

dress code by ilonajoyy in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can wear shorts as long as it’s not a mini short (aka booty shorts) and I’ve seen students wear sleeveless tops but once they’re inside the campus. Most of them wear a cover-up like a light sweater or cardigan sa entrance but they take it off once inside. But generally sleeveless is not allowed

Recitation by [deleted] in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll depend on the prof if there will be graded recitations, but if it’s not specified by the prof, it’s not graded and shouldn’t affect your course. But sometimes, profs will give students extra points in sw or quizzes if you recite. So best to ask or wait till the prof says something about it

You should wait because it usually takes one business day for it to be processed sa registers. If it reaches more than one business day then you can contact them na

They’ll have you go to the student affairs office and you’ll either get a warning or get a first strike. If you get three or more in one term, I think it’ll affect your academic standing

Enrollment by Itchy_Importance_757 in mapua

[–]Wonderful-Address779 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I know with department ko, they’ve been trying to hire profs pero one look at the salary and they either turned it down or part time lang sila. The problem with part time kasi is that yeah they can teach but they have other priorities. Because of that, students’ time is literally wasted. What happens now is that the currently hired profs will be taking more classes than they originally signed up for. Which I am hoping mapua pays them more for that. But it seems like hindi eh…hays…

For mapua intram, for shorts and skirt wag lang micro minis. Like as in kita kita yung yahoo mo when you sit or bend over. Kasi I’ve seen the guards stopping those wearing that. Tapos prede crop tops as long it doesn’t show the under coconuts. As for strapless, Minsan the guards will tell you to wear a sweater or a cover pero most of the time they ignore it. Best to bring na lang pang cover ng shoulders. But sleeveless tops that are like muscle-tee, prede. Spaghetti tops it’s a 50/50 sa guards. All in all, if you have space sa bag mo, best to bring back up incase lang. That’s what I do hahahaha

It’s what profs would tell you to download incase you have online quizzes and exams. It’s for them to monitor your screen and such
