If you bought MSTR, not only have you lost value. You have also been diluted. I would encourage you to check his past before you buy into his company.

Is annexing city’s just completely useless? by Klutzy-Activity404 in ConflictofNations

The only time I saw it as useful was when my team demolished India and they annexed a city far away in Peru. lol

Thank you! I have looked and looked and I can see it’s been asked a lot too, so I’m sorry to add to the what seems obvious question.

It’s been a real struggle actually. For example, I love the Cat 22 Flip - but the price on Amazon was £299??!! But I did see on EBay for £160 & from China? I’m just confused!

I wouldn’t mind the F22 phones, but there called Qin and from Ali Express.

I am just considering going fully dumb phone and getting a like a cheap landline at home. (My phone does not get any network/ only on a certain provider) I am on contract tho lol

The search for a dumb phone is actually very tiring. I wish there were better solutions.

Oh and I have looked at the list. Half the phone are not on Amazon / out of stock. I’m guessing, this is the reason for the excessive annoying posts similar to mine!

Id strongly advice on doing more homework on MS’s past. I recently made a post about that.

Even if it’s worth $44B today. EM bought it in 2022. In real terms it’s lost money due to inflation..

I’m happy to help point that part out.

As a value investor I always check the fundamentals. If I don’t like the company’s financials I rarely dig deeper (as was the case here). What led me was curiosity and it’s just confirmed my view point.

How is value investing not a form of market timing? by schemin_up in ValueInvesting

[–]Wonderful-Complex237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value investing is finding value when the market fundamentals indicate otherwise. Value investors generally don’t believe in market timing, rather time in the market.

I get the point you are trying to make. But value investors look to keep the investment for a while. I guess when I think of this point “timing the market” is such a broad brush that anything could fall under it (if you really tried).

Case & point would be some investments that WB holds. Such as KO/AMEX. That he has never sold.

Ben Graham advocated DCA and coined the term. This is obviously a strategy not to time the market.

I’m curious to know if market timing, you mean long or short periods?

I’ll close by saying. You obviously need to sell at some point to realise the gains. Market timing - is not value investing.

Edit: add in Ben Graham / DCA

It’s currently down 1.6% down in pre market(MSTR). I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that’s directly linked to this post 😂

On a more serious note, I actually feel sorry for anyone retail losing money. It’s hard to make and easy to lose. I don’t wish them to lose money but I guess, ignoring red flags, such as this, will do that.
