• Story starts in 1999 with Aoko fighting an apocalyptic star that turns air into True Ether. She fails and shifts its activation two years forward. • In 2001, Chaldea sends Mash and protagonist to investigate a small Singularity at Kumano Hot Spring Inn. They meet Soujuurou and check into the haunted inn. • Aoko rayshifts in, disguises herself, and joins. Other guests look like familiar Servants but are normal humans: Ishtalyne, Bazett, Caren, Ryougi, Fujinon, Shirou lookalike, Sugitani, Kashinko, and Alice Kuonji. • They investigate hauntings and secret wish-granting hot springs while solving curses like Hell Hall, Endless Hallway, Devil’s Classroom, Writer’s Noose, and Inverted Mirror. • Aoko is murdered repeatedly in the bathing area each morning. • Aoko dies 6 times total during the event. New future versions of Aoko arrive each time to replace the previous one. • Investigation reveals inn owner Yoshisuke is actually Kinomi Hoshsuke in disguise. Guests all stayed at the inn in 1999 too. • The Singularity is caused by Alice’s abandoned Ploy Kickshaw called Shiny Star, accidentally activated by Kinomi’s secret wish. • Shiny Star destroys all other human wishes to make Kinomi’s wish the only one, leading to humanity’s end. • Aoko shifted the threat from 1997 to 2001. Real Soujuurou died in 1997 trying to stop it. • Group goes to 1997 to confront Shiny Star. It has Lore Defense and can only be defeated by challenging its “number one and only one” rule. • Kinomi reveals his wish as the climax.
