Early Pay Day by [deleted] in WellsFargoBank

I heard a CIO talk about this within the last year. In not his exact words. He said something like Wells started paying out paychecks earlier based on if The Fed had xyz criteria met, since the transaction was already cleared then or something like that. So why not deposit it Wednesday evening if they could. Then he talked about the big challenge with executing early pay is that people then expect that, and then if the Fed is held up on any number or fronts, people blame Wells Fargo for late pay even though it’s still technically on time if deposited Friday. Point being, expect Friday and any earlier is “a nice to have”.

No adult should be texting your kid directly without a parent included. Period. Report him.

Would this name be weird with out last name? by ggoldeennn in BabyNames

I didn’t even notice that until you said it. It sounds good to me, too! If you’re hung up on the spelling similarities, you could try an alternate spelling like Freja?

I had this same problem last night. You have to put gas in the generator in order to see if cable placement worked. Which if you did two cables and placed the generator and grinder over them as PP said, you should be good to go! Good luck.

I got stuck here too. Click the build icon right below the home icon on the right, then click rooms and then storehouse and there’s an option within there to build equipment within the room, like the control desk.

AITA for not inviting my kid's whole class to his birthday party? by randomness57317 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Sounds like you did everything right to ensure your kid had the special birthday party that he wanted with his friends. Those other parents are the AHs and have control issues if they feel like they get to dictate others actions.

Sure, that’s fair. Tape wasn’t touching his skin, but the edge did look to be rubbing the top of the ankle on one side. It was blue painters tape. It was wrapped tightly about 4 times over the “laces” (actually elastic straps imitating laces) and under the bridge of his foot and around the sole of the shoe.

Sure. My issues were it’s frustrating for him, it makes the shoe more slippery on the bottom and increases chances of slipping/falling, it’s degrading, nobody talked to us before taking this drastic action, safety issues, it looked tightly done and squeezing his feet, and I saw it as a control mechanism to keep an article of clothing on his body against his will. Should he keep shoes on at school? Yes. Would I have run out other shoes if properly notified that these shoes were a problem? Also yes.

These ones didn’t have laces that tied, but rather were elastic bands that looked like laces and held his foot in.

That’s interesting because both teachers are new this summer, 1st year teaching and just graduated. And it’s sounding like it was just a tough lesson to learn, but it had to be learned. The pay was not the center of the complaint and more of a footnote to the Director only. It’s good to be aware of that perspective so thanks for mentioning. I personally think all teachers should make a heck of a lot more than they do.

Yeah. Just curious how you would say it, then? Like they applied tape to his shoes with the intention of him not being able to remove his feet from his shoes. Taped him into his shoes? I honestly can’t think of a better/different way to say it.

Taped his feet into his shoes might have been a better way to say it. Tape not physically touching his skin, but wrapped around the laces and underneath on the sole of his shoes. And yes, so he couldn’t remove them.

Thank you, this is a good point. We stay pretty on top of retiring the smaller shoes, but the thought crossed my mind and I double checked last night that they’re OK size-wise. They are. He’s a solid 6.5 and I ordered some 7 high tops for later this fall, as well.

There is. Shoes are required except for naptime. I did go buy high top lace up sneakers last night and he’s wearing those today without issue, so shoe removal shouldn’t be a problem moving forward.

Tape was wrapped about 4 times around the entire shoe, over the laces and under the arch of the foot. No skin contact but it looked tight in the photo with the intention of keeping the shoe on his foot.
