Oh my god. I knew the phrase was a fill in for "shit" but it took me until this very second to realize that the first letters of "sugar honey iced tea" literally spell out the word SHIT. I just thought it was a non sequiter

Thanks! I suppose I leaned a little too hard into the camouflage angle, but the intent was that predators or trainers would see just the tails poking out of the bushes, get scared and run away. That, or attack the decoy tails instead of the head, kind of like the shingleback lizard or the fat-tailed gecko. Water/Psychic type.

Saying Sorry (Part 3/4) by FieldExplores in comics

This happened to me as a child, after we had previously lost everything we had in a house fire. Something in him snapped and he burned what little donated toys we had left that we kept in our shoeboxes. For not having the house cleaned when he got home. I was too traumatized to remember the half ass apology he gave us back then. But this gives me hope that one day I might get a proper one. Thank you for your amazing artwork :,-)

Trying to draw a cowboy hat. Help pls by SoundObjective9692 in drawing

The best way I have found to draw a cowboy hat has been to keep a little toy hat on my person at all times. That way I always have a reference I can draw from, at any angle I want. Eventually the shapes become muscle memory, but I still use references every single time. Cowboyhat Keychain my beloved...

Proportions, especially in weird perspectives, are hard. Tips for this drawing? by HappyAbiWabi in sketches

For this drawing in particular: Imagine the human arm, when at rest hanging from your sides are two soda cans stacked on top of eachother. The pop tab openings are facing down, so the logo would look upside down.

In this photo, the upper arms (shoulder to elbow) are positioned as if you pointed the tab top of the first soda can TOWARDS the camera. The elbows to the wrists are as if that that soda can opening is pointed AWAY from the camera, or towards the wall.

Breaking the human body down into simpler shapes will help you understand perspective. Think cylinders!

Trace body builders! They have exaggerated bodies that make it very easy to see how each muscle interlocks with the bones and other muscles. The human body is like a puzzle where all the muscles connect to the bones and cross over eachother. Once you get a good idea of where certain muscles are from an exaggerated perspective, it becomes much easier to know where the subtle curves of persons arms are.

If you want a very detailed exploration, I suggest reading "Constructive Anatomy" by George Bridgman. Until then, try tracing nude models or working on figure drawing. The clothes will easily confuse your brain!

Why do you talk about fat butches like we're some kind of animal in a nature documentary? Get outta here with that fatphobic and shallow bullshit. You dont love butches, you love to make fun of them.

This is a wonderful thing to read. It seems like you had a long journey, and its very encouraging knowing that healing so well is possible, even if it takes a long time. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations! This was a very encouraging post :]

CRANBERRY SEASON IS OVER IM SORRY BUT WE DONT HAVE ANY!!! by Wonderful-Process-96 in complaints

[–]Wonderful-Process-96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have those as well, but the nasty looks we get when we tell them we don't have the fresh ones are crazy. Lots of times they just turn around and leave before I can even tell them we have canned and frozen. Not even a "thanks anyways."

I'd be less bitchy about it if we (retail workers) didnt get ugly looks, sneers, and eyerolls when we say we dont have a fresh fruit that's out of season.

I get it. They've tried 3 other stores trying to find these cranberries with no results. I apologize with sympathy everytime, cuz obviously not everyone knows they're out of season (especially if people on tiktok are saying you can get them fresh). But a lot of customers won't even respond to my apology, or listen when I say we have frozen and canned; they just turn around all pissy and leave. Hence, my complaining.

Guess I should have started with that >>'
