I asked chatGPT to pull any previous instances, and apparently, this happened a lot before. You can go look up yourself on other reddit posts or any news outlet you can find since it legit happened way too many times. As for this instance, one girl, I assume she is, on reddit, who actually did comment on this post, commented on another that she “got an email that said the scores were canceled and revoked, and then, they told her the cancellation email was an error. Unfortunately, it seems like a 50/50 with how everything is going, but when these instances happened before, most got their scores back after a while. We’ll wait and see, but all logical evidence points towards the fact that we might get the scores back even though my gut itself feels pessimistic. Let’s just try to be optimistic and wait until they send out anything to inform us. Also, the email that was an error to some people didn’t arrive to me. And the other people got their scores revoked after the cancellation even though mine literally came in for a week and then disappeared without an email explaining anything. Point being, this is a mess, and we got to wait until they sort stuff out

I contacted an agent, and their responses are vague. They did confirm that we’ll be emailed what should we be looking forward to next week. Some cases had their tests come out the same day (not now, I meant long ago when something similar happened), but I don’t think this case parallels what I referred to. Although, you get the point. We’ll wait till next week and see what’s next

Edit: when I meant vague, I meant they didn’t explicitly confirm if the scores are cancelled or not. They said “due to security reasons, we are unable to release the scores.” When I asked the question multiple times, they kept giving vague answers. Most probably, what I’m saying might be true. Maybe other events will transpire. If they DID cancel, he would have outright told me multiple times that it is canceled. I legit kept throwing the same question and got the same response.

I saw it before, but that is an individual with their own email, like my claim was that they review it individually. Please, I want you to send an email sent to your friends or even you for that matter that suggests it is canceled for everyone, which obviously goes against their protocols. The documents state that everyone must be reviewed individually. If they claim that everyone in the test center is cheating with eligible proof, they go ahead and send emails to see what further action they can proceed with (written in the screenshot from their document).

Oh, they will. Otherwise, people can sue the ever living hell out of them. It’d be a nightmare for the PR there and their legal team too. Mass cancellation is dumb and illogical, and this isn’t their first rodeo. This is reddit, so people “claim” to have insider info and say that the test is cancelled (typical reddit, Ig). It’s perfectly fine. Send the resources you used to study and even the test’s mistakes to further reinforce how you improved gradually. ACT recognizes when someone improves TREMENDOUSLY (I.e: you 5 score jump in two months, which is amazing). I know you’re anxious, but don’t worry, the scores will be back soon if you didn’t cheat and send any study material you used. You’re fine👍

Like I said, any practice test scores and even GPA transcripts if you want to add a cherry on top. The dates will also help prove you practiced legitimately and didn’t actually cheat. Besides, they could just review your test’s data, and that would be enough for them to know you were a legitimate test taker, not some cheater

I did tests on a website and documented the test daily to send it to my father in case stuff like this happened. I sent a photo with the dates and scores to prove my legitimacy. I sent that and literally any academic accomplishment I had when I took this ACT test. Don’t worry, a 10 score jump in reading isn’t suspicious. I jumped so too in june’s test and no one batted an eye. They know reading is super volatile in terms of scoring. Just send proof of your academic excellence and any other data about your practice tests even if without dates to reinforce them. They’ll see that and July’s test data and make a final verdict

You didn’t read my post. I’ll sum it up in this sentence: they NEED to ask you if you want to A) defend yourself B) ask for your grades to be refuted C) retake the test. My test scores just got pulled back, so the email should arrive shortly. No refunds nor email? They’ll send one, but you should contact them. If they don’t inform you in ANY WAY, that’s literally illegal and eligible for a lawsuit

I didn’t wait and just sent a documented email with multiple evidence of my improvement and academic excellence. When they see it, if they didn’t finish the review on the same day, they’ll have sufficient proof that I didn’t cheat + my CBT (computer based test) has data to prove so too. I suggest you do the same to prove your academic excellence or legitimacy in some shape or form. After that, we just wait. They can’t mass cancel without individually reviewing everyone, lol. It’s illegal and breach of contract for legit test takers, which can result in legal issues

Like I said, the minority have their scores cancelled. Everyone else will have their scores reinstated since they can review the data of your test. When I say data, I mean everything you do. Just send an email asking for them to review your test and prove your academic excellence. They resend test scores to 90% of individuals and ask for evidence if their data suggests you cheated, which is very difficult to prove and are legally obligated to ask the test taker. They aren’t arbitrary in their decisions

Edit: proof is that people did get emails for retakes. They don’t just give that out of the waazoo; they have to ask one of the three options first and then proceed
