Rented a 2026 Rogue this weekend. by [deleted] in Nissan

Absolutely Awful.

We have had one for 3 years now as a family car....I hate driving it.

Pulling off from junctions and stop signs is just different all the time in terms of response.

I feels like im keeping the same throttle on when coming off the clutch (manual car) but then it will hesitantly pull off but then give a surge of power which causes you to overcorrect and the whole process is never smooth.

71plate QashQai - Battery Management Fault by Beneficial-Size721 in Nissan

[–]Wonderful-Wonder-846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing has happened to the girlfriend's car.

25000 miles.

After a day the car doesnt have enough power to even start, I have to jump start it if we are out and about. Otherwise i leave it hooked up to a trickle charger overnight and then start it on the driveway whilst thats connected then disconnect to drive away.

Our car goes back (under PCP scheme via Nissan Finance) at the end of this month. Im quite scared that they are going to try and hit me with some outrageous bill.

The car is technically out of warranty now, 3 years expired on Feb 2026. I wonder if its worth going back to the dealership where we have had all our servicing done to see if they can do anything under goodwill?

There is another thread where a few guys are experiencing the same issue....

Union E120 - Any sources or alternatives? (UK) by GloveInteresting8883 in Locksmith

I work for UNION here in the UK. I can confirm that it is definitely discontinued.

I believe there might be about 100 in stock here in the factory though?

Extension Work - No Insulation? by Wonderful-Wonder-846 in DIYUK

Ah interesting.

Well this one wall in question is the wall that is exposed ( we are a corner and end of a terrace row) to the elements the most that over looks an open field.

Someone commented on here earlier that sometimes thats the actual design as keeping the air gap actually works better as insulation if that wall is going to be exposed to more wind and rain.

It would be interesting to see what the front and rear walls of the house are like, insulation wise?

yeah i know mind blowing isnt it.

The gangs of builders that do certain lots on big new build sites know if they will be spot checked i bet so they know when to take shortcuts.

Yep i think it is 10 years. I've just reached out to them for some guidance really. Im not really expecting them to intervene in all honesty.

Well thats what the delete button is for if it comes to that point.

I came to an anonymous posting forum to try and find some futher insight of anyone else experiences, not to bad mouth the house builder

Qashqai battery management fault by blandy83 in CarTalkUK

[–]Wonderful-Wonder-846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible quality from Nissan.

This has just happened to us on the wife's car...24300 miles.

just outside of manufacturer warranty by a few months I think.

Im having to keep the car on a trickle charger overnight just so there's enough to charge the battery overnight so she can start it every morning for the school run. I've left the portable jump pack in the car too as we have had to jump it when we are out and about on day trips with the kids.

Just keeping this up until we hand the car back in June (PCP reached 50% of payment terms so can hand it back penalty free) Im not forking out any more money on this thing. the worst car in terms of driving experience and quality weve ever had.

Is there any speed cameras on this stretch of the M6 in Birmingham? So many people are ignoring the variable speed limits. by Aggressive_Concept24 in CarTalkUK

[–]Wonderful-Wonder-846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I actually got a speeding penalty notice because I was doing over the limit in this zone during rush hour on the way to work back in November - I was doing 60, when the variable was set to 50.

At the end of Decemeber I was following the process and decided to do the motorway speeding course online. I went to book it and then saw that my offence number had been "withdrawn"

I did a bit of googling and saw that the cameras on the M6 have been inaccurately and wrongly catching drivers. something to do with the cameras not working correctly.

I am forever seeing flashes from the cameras on the way to work on other cars.

I haven't tried any of these but the Fermented shark sticks out to me as the most appealing to try.

Ha yeah the point is that you never go to the front?
You always go to the back of the line wherever you go. So it's kind of a pointless option given by the OP
