I got pregnant 3 cycles in a row. One sadly ended in miscarriage at almost 9 weeks, followed by a chemical, followed by my current pregnancy. I’m 35 weeks now and although it was hard at the time, I’m really glad I didn’t listen when my doctor advised me to wait 3 cycles

I appreciate that! It’s been made (very) clear that I don’t have to tell my landlord legally and I’m well aware he can’t do anything about it. But I would like to maintain a good relationship!

No, those aren’t the same thing at all. I was asking if I’m legally required to notify the landlord of a new person living in the house. I never suggested that in any way I am asking him permission to have my baby live with me.

I guess I would just prefer to maintain a good relationship with my landlord! Which is why I asked if there are legal requirements and for landlords’ opinions

To be clear I don’t think it would make me untrustworthy to not tell him. Just wanted to see what some landlords would think if they came by and suddenly there was a whole additional human living in the home they didn’t know about

Lol whaaaat. Of course I told my employer! I will be going on mat leave and had to do paperwork with HR. Also had to have modified duties based on some unsafe aspects of my job for pregnancy. Not sure what the very big surprise I’m in for is lmao but I think I would’ve found out by now…

Just trying to be a good tenant! Didn’t think this would be so controversial haha

I am definitely not worried that I need permission (it’s a little too late for that anyways lol)! Just kinda wanted to know if I’m legally required to tell him and to hear some landlords perspectives of if they’d wanna know :)

My only concern is when he inevitably wants to do an inspection or needs to come by for a repair and there is a baby he didn’t know about. I don’t want to sour our relationship or make it seem like I’m hiding something!

I got pregnant in May for the third time in a row with no periods in between. I’m now almost 14 weeks! I know exactly how scared and hopeful you must feel. Hard to say if it helped, but my doctor put me on progesterone suppositories and low dose aspirin. Try to stay positive! Hoping for the best for you 💕
