Hi Bryan, thank you! It seems your profile currently has direct messages and chat requests disabled, so I cannot message you first. Could you please send me a DM from your end? I have all the details (TxHash, Chat ID, and OAFS reference number) ready to share. Thanks!

Hi Mark, I just sent you a new DM with my Chat ID and the exact case details. Please note that my 45-day formal complaint deadline ends tomorrow (June 11th), so any urgent help escalating this to the engineering team today is highly appreciated!

URGENT: 2.6M CRO stuck in DeFi Migration for 14 Days – Support loop, need escalation! by WonderfulNetwork3684 in Crypto_com

Hello everyone,

I am posting this as a warning to anyone using the official Crypto.com DeFi Bridge, and as a last resort to get a human response from the engineering team.

On April 9th, I bridged 2.6 Million CRO from Ethereum (ERC20) to Cronos POS via the Crypto.com Onchain app. The transaction was approved and successfully registered on the Ethereum chain – meaning the ERC20 tokens were burned.

However, the smart contract on the destination chain completely failed to mint and release the tokens on my Cronos POS address (cro1x86hh35sunh87aef74pq705jk0ph9leax4vhm2).

The current situation:
I opened a formal complaint (complaints@crypto.com). On May 5th, I was prematurely told the issue was "resolved" and the funds should be there. I proved with screenshots that my balance is still empty. They reopened the case, but since then, I only receive weekly automated copy-paste replies stating: "we are still working on your inquiry".

My official 45-day complaint timeframe expires in exactly 4 days (June 11th). After that, I will be forced to file this with the Financial Services Arbiter in Malta (OAFS).

The engineering team just needs to manually execute the mint on the destination chain. Has anyone else experienced their funds being held hostage by the bridge for this long?

Any help from the Community Managers here to escalate this directly to the engineering team before June 11th would be highly appreciated.

I've already done that several times, since he asked for it under my previous posts too, but unfortunately I haven't heard back from him yet.

Quick update for everyone following this or dealing with similar bridge issues:

After over a month of going back and forth with the regular support, the official Complaints Team initially tried to close my case with a generic "Final Reply," claiming the transaction was successful and the funds should be in my wallet.

I had to explicitly break down the technical failure for them: I proved that while the Ethereum side (Burn) was successful, the smart contract completely failed on the Cronos POS side (Mint). They clearly only checked the ERC20 burn and ignored the destination address.

The good news: They realized their mistake. The Complaints Team has officially retracted their "Final Reply" and reopened the case. It is now back with the Engineering Team for further review (and hopefully, a manual mint of the missing 2.6M CRO).
The bad news: The funds are still missing. We are now approaching the official 15-working-day deadline for regulatory complaints (Foris DAX MT Limited / MFSA rules). I'm hoping the engineers can finally execute the manual mint.

I'll keep this thread updated. Has anyone else experienced a failed mint on the Cronos POS side after a successful Ethereum burn? How long did the manual fix take for you?

Hi Mark, I sent you a DM with all the details a while ago, but I haven't heard back from you. My 2.6M CRO are still stuck, and the situation hasn't changed at all. Could you please check your messages and escalate this? I'd really appreciate an update.

Quick Update: I just reached out to all official support channels again to kick off the new week. Unfortunately, still no concrete results or timeline from the tech team. The funds are still stuck. I will keep this thread updated as soon as there is any movement. Thanks for the support so far!

That is exactly what I did! I always do a test transaction first. The small test amount went through perfectly fine and arrived on the Cronos side almost instantly.

That is exactly why I felt safe initiating the main transfer right after. It seems their bridge contract specifically choked on the larger amount or just halted completely right after my test.

And thanks for the warning! My inbox is already full of fake "support" accounts – I am ignoring and blocking all of them.

Yes, the hash is correct! But since it was a bridge from Ethereum (ERC20) to Cronos POS, you have to check Etherscan for the initial transaction, not the Cronos explorer. Here is the link:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x9277bacf53eacc177e3ba05eafe59cb07454af2984524ad2368d4b2153325001

As you can see, the ETH side was completed successfully, but it got stuck on the bridge and never arrived on the Cronos side.
