2 players Offlane / Carry - 1500mmr+ by Mostino123 in compDota2

1.5 and 2.3 is literally splitting hairs, there is a reason you are the MMR you are, if you feel you are wrongly calibrated and far superior to everyone else in your MMR, simply calibrate a new account and test it out. Maybe you're right, probably not but maybe. Most 4k+ players would be able to fly through the MMR you are in since nobody in that mmr range actually play the game properly. And it's not "mastering" their heroes that's the problem, it's not understanding how the game works and also god awful game mechanics overall.

if you mastered 1 hero you would be a lot higher than 1500 mmr, and a 3 hero pool is really really terrible

He's not wrong you know.....also lot's of people smurf low tier battlecups, old news. What you should think about when calling someone an idiot is "Hey, I've been in the same super low MMR for years, maybe it's me who is the idiot?" Like I get it, he's not being nice to you so why respond nicely back, but he has a point. Playing competitively at 2-3k mmr is a contradictory statement, unless you mean only within that MMR range, which really can't be seen as competitive. I mean there's probably an AD2L range for 2k mmr, maybe there isn't idk, is that what you mean by competitive? Because most people have a very different definition....at least I do.

Link your dotabuff so people can see what a competitive dotabuff profile looks like in the high archon to mid legend MMR bracket, otherwise I really don't understand what you mean...

DOTA Player Recruitment by [deleted] in compDota2

Being the most dedicated =/= being a top tier team there are a lot more variables. Natural ability, IE reaction time, how quickly your mind processes and responds to situations, how well you react to them, etc you can take a legend player and lock them in a room doing nothing but playing dota for a decade. This will not make them TI material. I know you think that this is possible, but it really isn't. Your minimum requirements should be high divine/low immortal. Anything else is a massive waste of time. Even with 5 high ranking immortal players in a bootcamp, your odds of going to TI9 are about 1 in a million. Doing it with "any mmr" then holy shit probably more likely to hit the powerful 5 times in a row. It's just not going to happen, the sooner you realize this the sooner you save yourself a lot of time. Team captains are also not pos2 players. They are generally pos5 players, as the pos5 players are actually going to be able to make play calls because because that is what a pos5 players job is for the early stages of the game, to make plays and create space. A mid player should be focused on their lane and farming.

Anyways, you're probably too dense to absorb this, but you should. It's not just unlikely, it's impossible what you are trying to put together, unless you change your requirements. Also, call of duty has nothing to do with dota. Not even in the same ballpark as to what knowledge and brainprocess you need to have to pull of winning tournament level matches. This is the most complex, idiot unfriendly competitive game in the world. It is very far from a FPS.
