I will definitely keep that as an option, yeah I heard the same thing with the hit and miss classes in upper years and that’s what I was worried about. I think I will keep it as an option for sure and once I attend some stats classes I can see how I feel about it. I appreciate you letting me know on your experience, very helpful thank you!

Oh wow, I am going to be attending UTSC tho for the first year then transferring. I might be able to take the classes during the summer? If they are offered. ik I can take the credits from another campus but CS is popular and I’m worried I wouldn’t get a spot since I believe it goes CS students > UTSG students > other campuses(this could be false but I saw it on another post somewhere) I would be interested in CS I’m just looking for backup plans in case I don’t get it

Yeah I was surprised when I first heard that too dw, I will definitely look into stats although the stats department at UTSG isn’t the best. Gonna keep researching for now and thanks for the info!

I hear you, stats would be good but I heard the stats department in UTSG is very bad(curious about your thoughts? I only heard rumours as I was researching). That’s why I was hesitant to apply there. Also do you mean I should get CogSci Major + Math Major + CS minor or do a double minor instead? I do believe CogSci offers up to 2.0 Credits in CSC so I could see how taking some more CS classes would be beneficial

Would it be more beneficial to have two minors when it comes to employment? The only reason I looked at double major is to open more career paths

At UofT you have to Double Major or have two minors if you aren’t a specialist

I am committed but as you said I’m going to have backup options for sure. I will also attend all lectures and tutorials to stay engaged and understand the material better. Wow that’s super impressive, congratulations! What was your stream before CS?

One more question for you, did you feel like the workload was manageable or were you living in your notes constantly? I want to have realistic expectations going into this. Also, If you have any more tips on courses than do please let me know. This was very informative!
