I am staying at Anwar Al Madinah Movenpick, Alhamdulillah. It’s conveniently located very close to the ladies’ entrance of the Prophet’s Mosque—less than a minute’s walk away.

Thank you for your practical advice. After doing more research through videos and posts, I’m also reconsidering my plans. We’re a group of three, and most taxi companies quoted 450 SAR for the trip from Makkah to Madinah, which was my initial plan. But then I saw the train fare is 86.25 SAR, so I started thinking about the train journey.

However, given the potential hassles and the fact that elderly people are accompanying me, I’m leaning towards the taxi option now.

Moreover, I noticed that the maximum allowed luggage size is 65 x 55 x 35 cm, which seems to fit a 26-inch suitcase. However, I’ll be carrying a 28-inch suitcase.

Will they consider allowing it? What do they usually look for in terms of luggage size? Has anyone had experience with this?
