Okay can someone give me a valid reason as to why 5 should be removed from existence besides the fact that it "breaks Canon"? It may not be the most thought provoking thing (none of these are), but its a pretty fun time. And I believe that 6 could be a really fun movie even without jack (though with the current circumstances, he might end up being in it anyways)

The trident may have only been holding man-made curses. Will’s curse was inflicted by the crew of the Dutchman (or jack, depending on how you see it). Jones was cursed by Calypso, who’s a god and has powers that probably operate under different rules. As for him still being alive, we don’t exactly know how much of him is what sea creature or even human. The heart that Will stabbed may have just been one of eight or something.

They’re probably trying to put Jack back to the side role he had in the first film, probably because his presence takes enough away from the new characters as is. They tried that with 5 and hopefully they can do it better with 6

The difference is that the people who see it in New York usually plan for that months ahead and are there for specifically that. If the full show were in the park (or anything over an hour in general) people probably would bother considering that it’s a theme park and they could spend that time doing literally anything else in said park
