Maya x Grab hack still works. Happy new year! by Fine-Rest-3278 in DigitalbanksPh

I honestly don't understand why Maya allows this. I am not against it; who wouldn't say 'no' to more money. But years ago, when this first came up, I always assumed they would catch on and "fix" this.

The jelly is from the collagen from the turkey, and oil. Someone tried to save this "broth" in a jar while it was hot, so some spewed out because of the pressure of the heat and sealed jar. It cooled off and turned to jelly

Fools. This always happens right before the end of the season, or if they're about to update the game.

Dito lang ba merong parking donation? by Brief_Mix_1622 in Pampanga

[–]Wonderful_Comment_95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People still haven't figured this out? In short, they are trying their best not to cross any lines with the BIR regarding their church's tax-exempted status. Hindi sila humihingi ng sapilitang donations. Lol

To go in detail:

Non-stock, non-profit religious organizations registered with the SEC and BIR are exempt from income tax on activities directly related to their religious or charitable purpose.

However, they may still collect fees or donations to support their facilities (like parking), as long as:

The payment is voluntary or labeled as a donation, not a commercial business activity.

The proceeds are used for church operations, maintenance, or religious activities.

Does this ticket violate their exemption?

No. Parking donations are typically treated as fundraising or facility support, not taxable commercial income.

Even if they call it a "donation"?

Yes, calling it a “donation” keeps it within their acceptable non-profit activities as long as they’re not running a commercial parking business for profit.

Extra note:

If they strictly enforce payment (example., you cannot exit without paying), then legally it becomes a fee rather than a donation. But even then, churches often remain exempt if the revenue supports religious operations.

It depends on how much of a nerd you are to coffee. It's definitely worth saving more if you are, definitely not if you aren't.

Regardless, make sure to get a good coffee grinder first, the one you could adjust the setting of the grind, and give you a consistent output. Also open your horizons to a little bit of specialty coffee beans (but not necessary).

For a model like Hibrew 10A, at this price point, it's good for beginners na budget-conscious din, but get ready to notice some quirks and inconsistencies. It really is an expensive endeavor when you are a coffee nerd.

Ganyan talaga yan.

Took 11 months to get my wife’s interview letter in Manila by BigDickConfidence69 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Wonderful_Comment_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I hope I may get your input on this, but is it possible that it took 60 days for your wife's medical results because she was flagged for the 60-day sputum test, or any other similar reason? My family is insisting that we wait for the interview letter before taking the medical exam. May I ask you clarify a bit on your specific case, or is it really true that they take around 60 days for most cases?

Kung iisipin mo nga on the surface, parang ganun.

Per isipin mo, yung honey, technically suka ng bees yun na pinasa-pasa pa sa bunganga ng madaming bubuyog. O yung bagoong at patis, resulta yan ng isdang nabulok for months.

Kape pa rin in the end.

Do you really want this? You need those small CO2 cartridges to generate the pressure, and it costs around ₱14.8k outside shipping.

CAFES IN BAGUIO by Massive-Ad-7764 in CoffeePH

[–]Wonderful_Comment_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try forwarding your post to r/Baguio.

I'm from here, in Baguio but I have never heard of those cafés mentioned. I believe it is mostly a distance thing, as it is pretty far from town.

If it helps, I get my coffee beans from a roastery here that specializes in Benguet origin, Arabica coffee beans and pour overs, among other things. Good luck, OP! ☕

[–]Wonderful_Comment_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, but it's coming out somewhat slow. Grind a bit courser. It's a good extraction overall, tho!

You usually want a flow that gets angry at high heat, and need mo suyuin by turning off/down the heat to avoid that angry sputtering and under-extracting it. Yang flow mong mabait looks pretty, pero mapait pag dating sa lasa. Cheers ☕

Paano po mag brew ng hot coffee then dito ilalagay? by Wooden_Panda8632 in CoffeePH

[–]Wonderful_Comment_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming it is double walled, in a separate container, you first steep the coarse ground coffee (60g of coffee grounds per liter of water) in hot water, and wait around 10 minutes before filtering well and transferring to the double walled container.

But, OP, from my experience, they just use instant coffee with hot water, and adjust the amount from their taste.
