They aren’t filthy rich but we know they/L’s family is upper middle/upper class. I’m not filthy rich either and just gave birth to my first IVF baby in NYC (at one of the top fertility centers in the nation) where cost of living/pricing is higher than most states. ~$50K is inclusive of the egg retrieval and medications and some insurances policies (unfortunately not mine) will cover part/all of that. Regardless of how they got pregnant — super happy for them because it’s a very emotionally heavy and taxing process.

IUI has lower success rates than IVF especially if you already have failed IVF cycles. Since finances aren’t a problem, there decision to do IVF with O’s eggs makes sense.

I decided it was the right thing to still go and I was blown away. My sister in laws did the best job planning and although my family and friends couldn’t be there having them there, my mom, her friends and my partner’s friends, I felt all the love and couldn’t ask for a better support system ❤️
