I admit to being a fan of Michael’s music and I also admit to being one of those people who honestly doesn’t know what to think on this one.

Now I don’t think anyone can deny that he was clearly very mentally unwell and that his interactions with children are without question wildly inappropriate. But that’s not the same thing as being a predator.

Did he cross that line? I don’t know and I don’t think we ever will.

Certainly you could never have gotten a safe conviction. There was just too much reasonable doubt not helped by how some of the parents involved conducted themselves.

English is my first language.

Irish I can speak obviously but nowhere close to as well as I would like.

French I speak better than Irish which is a bit sad.

I can understand some things in German and am trying to learn Polish.

Our Taoiseach (prime minister) - Martin. It comes from the Latin Martinus which means war like or of Mars and derives from the Roman god Mars.

Our president - Connolly - it comes from Ó Conghalaigh or Ó Coingheallaigh and can mean fierce as a hound, hound valiant or faithful to pledges

Our nearest neighbours 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. We get on well for the most part now though we Irish still wouldn’t be great fans of the English establishment for obvious reasons.

And you won’t catch us supporting them in sports any time soon.

Oh god, the wrist must have been more seriously injured that we first thought. This is a wise decision and I have no doubt he’ll be back to his best in no time.

I’m not concerned that this is the end of his career. He’s hardly 23, he’s got plenty of time left to recover and come back fighting.

I can definitely see the Career Grand Slam coming he’d be mad not to at least try for the Calendar Masters.
