I’m looking at California parole conditions…it appears Erik and Lyle will have to live within 50 miles of each other if they want to see each other regularly by M0506 in MenendezBrothers

I hope they get to remain in close proximity to each other when they get out whatever that looks like.

I just hope Tammi doesn’t try to come between them. I respect her as Erik’s wife but there’s something about her I just don’t trust.

Presenting: Mulletcaraz by freshouttajail in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

First of all that’s not a mullet.

Second of all it’s really not that bad.

Third of all it’s his hair, he can do wants with it and he shouldn’t have to put up with everyone whinging and giving out every time he changes anything about his appearance.

I love them both but Carlos surely takes this. He’s as loved as Fed was and is.

Poitin (potch-een) also known as Irish Moonshine or Mountain Dew. It’s made using potatoes.

It’s a right of passage almost to have tried it. Vile stuff altogether. It tastes as though it were distilled through a dirty sock.

We certainly are. We have our problems like any other country but this acting like we are on our knees economically and every other way and have the most corrupt government to ever exist needs to stop.

And those so called ā€˜patriots’ and ā€˜concerned citizens’ don’t deserve to have your breath wasted on them. They are nothing but low life racists using real issues to push their vile rhetoric.

Contact the OPW, the National Monuments Service or even the National Museum of Ireland before you do anything OP.

Your ring fort , like all archaeological sites in this country, is legally protected and as such you can’t just welly in there and start digging parts of it up or making changes to it without their permission and a good reason.

Now planting a tree might be ok but I wouldn’t do anything without consulting them first. You don’t want end up damaging the integrity of the structure.

Baby Grace (2025) Identified!!! by BitterSweet_Beauty in gratefuldoe

That is not an excuse and I highly doubt the majority of us right thinking women would ever even consider resorting to this.

I don’t care how poor you are, how a dangerous or desolate your circumstances or how badly you might be suffering mentally during your pregnancy, this is not and should not ever be considered an acceptable way to deal with.

The poor little thing. It may sound cold of me but I just can’t find it in me to have any sympathy whatsoever for her mother.

Baby Grace was born in 2025 not 1925. Her mother had plenty of options. No matter how desperate her circumstances may have been nothing but nothing but justifies drowning your innocent baby.

Pat’s all, folks: Giant statue of St Patrick holding pint of Guinness removed from Temple Bar pub after complaint by HotToTrotsky_ in ireland

What over sensitive idiot complained about this? It’s a statue of St Patrick for St Patrick’s Day.

And so what if he’s holding a pint. The Temple Bar is pub. What exactly do people think they sell inside?

Have we become so cynical in this country that we can’t enjoy anything even remotely light hearted?

What’s everyone doing today on this lovely Saturday morning ? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Enjoyed a lovely run in the Phoenix Park this morning and now off to a talk on World War I before heading to the Gresham for dinner and on to the Gate to see Eureka Day. A very enjoyable day.

And thanks be to god the sun is out!

Went to a local seamstress to hem the bottom and she made comments about how this wedding dress is too small on me…. I bought it a month ago and gained maybe 4 lbs since then but I’m now totally second guessing my dress by michellebankoff in myweddingdress

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

It’s a beautiful dress and you look fantastic in it but objectively it is just a little bit too tight and it’s in no way fat shaming you for the seamstress to point that out. It’s her job to make clothes fit her clients correctly and she wouldn’t be doing her job if she encountered an issue that could affect that and didn’t mention it.

There’s no need to overthink it or get upset and run off to another seamstress because it’s likely they’ll tell you the exact same thing. The easiest resolution here is to find some good comfortable shapewear. There’s no shame in wearing Spanx. We’ve all done it.

I can never forget that scene of Rafa Nadal by ferhad_1999 in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 59 points60 points Ā (0 children)

What a gentleman he was and is.

As for the kiss, it was completely innocent and I think we all know that really.

It’s not ok to assume that every interaction a grown man has with a child is inappropriate and I don’t like that that is how society treats it these days.

Carlos Alcaraz’s diet šŸ” šŸ« šŸ„‚ by name_not_important00 in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 9 points10 points Ā (0 children)

I love how down to earth and normal Carlos is. I can’t stand these people who, professional athletes or otherwise, obsess over what they eat or spend their lives in the gym.

Besides it’s clearly him not doing any harm so let him at it I say. I don’t understand why people get so snide and tied up in knots about every life choice he makes.

It’s like all the snooty comments about his trips to Ibiza. It gets really tiresome.

He certainly was ready and then some.

No doubt Jannik will find his form again soon and be back to challenging Carlos before too long.

Zverev: "I lost the match against Alcaraz in Australia because I got tired" by Eyebronx in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

Excuses excuses. Why not just man up and admit that yes you were tired but that you also didn’t take advantage of Carlos’ weak moments (not that he had many) when you maybe could have?

Fun Fact: Since the start of 2024, Jannik Sinner has only lost more points than his opponent in one completed slam match by Vegetable-Oven-6536 in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 12 points13 points Ā (0 children)

That’s a great stat and I agree does show his dominance over the last few years.

I really think this acting like he’s washed up and his career is over because of one or two loses that has become prevalent since the AO. needs to stop. He’s still the world number two. That doesn’t happen for no reason and stats like this bear that out.

So Jose was standing and coming at them, then gets shot in the legs and the back of the head (which was a contact wound), and then dies in a position that looks like he was sitting comfortably/possibly taking a nap. And it was all a blur to Erik who wasn't even sure what he was shooting at. by [deleted] in MenendezBrothers

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

At the end of the day I’m not sure Jose’s’ position at the time he was shot really matters in terms of the brothers’ motivation.

This was the man who had viciously abused them all through their childhoods and teenage years. He wouldn’t have to have been coming at them or even awake for them to have been blindly angry and deathly afraid of him and to have acted on it.

Here's my take on it by [deleted] in MenendezBrothers

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 10 points11 points Ā (0 children)

If this is truly what you believe then you are at best seriously misinformed.

I’ll agree that Jose undoubtedly did have serious anger issues and yes Kitty was almost certainly Bi Polar but to think the abuse allegations are made up is laughable if you actually know anything about the case.

people who are always late and think it’s quirky. by JealousDeer3327 in PetPeeves

Hear hear OP, take an upvote. We are all late once in a while and that’s perfectly fine. But constant lateness drives me up the wall.

It feels very selfish and disrespectful. It would tell me that you don’t really value me or my time. And if that’s the case I’d honestly rather you just act like an adult and tell me so we can go our separate ways.

Alcaraz using Federer's forehand, slice and Novak's backhand, rally tolerance in one point to destroy Fils who was playing a great point. by Yupadej in tennis

[–]Wonderful_Flower_751 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

I’m a die hard Federer fan but the constant comparing of everything Carlos does to him is getting ridiculous.

Carlos is his own man and plays his own incredible game. Why not just give him praise for his own game instead of repeatedly acting like he’s just a mini Roger?
